You would get an I-551 stamp (aka ADIT stamp). To get it, call USCIS 30 days before your letter expires to schedule a field office appointment. It helps to have a reason, such as upcoming travel.

I expected the DMV to do that, too. My husband's first driver's license expired with his green card. When he went to renew it, he took the expired green card and the extension letter, so I expected another two year renewal of his license. Instead, they renewed it for the usual four years!

We are going to do it. My husband is eligible to apply on 10/31/22. We're not in a rush but will probably apply by the end of the year.

For continuous residency requirements for any green card holder you should not be out of the USA for more than 180 days at a time (nearly 6 months). If you are away for longer you will impact your naturalization application date you can file for your n400. Also you need to be in the USA more days than the number of days outside of the USA during the 3 or 5 years before filing for USA citizenship.  
Out of the USA more than 180 days you will reset your time needed to apply for your n400 to three or five years from your return date.

Looks like it, all I have Case Received. I have a friend who haven’t received an update since last year August. Just biometrics waived. We both have Potomac

What do you disagree with? I said they should submit it if they can. The main thing is that they have checked the correct box, a RFE isn't the end of the world.
 
Again, OP has been honest in their application and there wont be a problem, but a RFE can occur if they don't submit the court record with the application, and then they have to submit it after getting a RFE. I'm trying to let OP know that the criminal record isn't something to worry about in terms of obtaining a visa, it's not something that is going to get them denied because the crime is not as severe or frequent enough.

I manage to intercept it with USPS 😀
