Is Turquoise More of a Green or Blue Colour? May 1st 2007 07:36

Traditionally used to describe an ancient colour gem stone meant to symbolise good fortune. While at the same seals one protection when worn and ensure the well-being of its wearer. Interestingly enough the gem-stone itself is scientifically claimed to be copper aluminium phosphate the colour is a result of a combined blue coming from the copper and green from the iron. However it said that the colour Turquoise is always has combined greenish or blueish tone. This is the very isue being raised whether Turquoise is really more or green or blue shade. Is this why it defined as in-between colour for its greenish quality yet blue trait. As on the colour spetrum scale the blue and green are right next to eachother whereby the Turquoise is located. Maybe the answer lies in the meaning and feeling behind the colour blue and green. Blue with its 'tranquil and peaceful' apeal while green with it similarily 'calming' effect. Now dont these words seem to sound very much the same and mean the same thing including having the same feeling and tone to them.

  4. LOL you know there is a cheat code you can put in to get you lots of money for Sims2? I think i remember it but not sure. but it gives you like 50k each time you use it LOL I've made some crazy houses with it LOL For the most part I just play scrabble online with Kris on the weekends or Dark Age of Camelot when I feel the need. I'm 'trying' to refocus myself back into my writing before my editor yells at me though LOL So many unfinished projects so little time. (since I know when Kris finally gets here writing will be the LAST thing on my mind!)

    It's motherlode or rosebud :D

  5. I would like to get another tattoo... I only ever wanted 1 though.... I now have 4... lol My FINAL one is going to be on my foot :)

Same with me, I wanted one and now I got four...but luckily my new one is just an extension of the old one...but then it's kind of a half sleeve so it might actually count for three or four just itself LOL

What are you going to get on your foot?

I would like a vine going from the side of my foot twisting up and around the top of my ankle.. It's kinda hard to explain... And i'm not very good at designing things either :(

  6. Hard one this really...

I do think cheaters can change. I believe that if a person cheats then they are not 100% happy in the relationship anyway... If you are 100% happy then you really would have no reason to cheat. I cannot stand people who cheat. To me it shows a complete lack of respect. I would much rather someone just tell me that they didn't love me anymore, or even try and work out any problems. Or if you really feel the need to cheat, then end your relationship first!

I would class sexual contact (of any kind) cheating, along with Cyber sex, Kissing someone (not just a peck on the cheek...), and becoming close to someone on a mental level (In a more than friendly way.. I have a friend whos husband started discussing sexual fantastis and stuff with a female friend... That is not on in my book...)

Visiting strip clubs... I do not like this... But I still wouldn't consider it cheating. Talking to someone of the opposite sex online is not cheating either, obviously depending on the conversations though! Having drinks with a co-worker, definitely not cheating and watching porn isn't either. All the above things could be considered cheating though if you hide it from your partner.
