myjourney2018 got a reaction from Fer Schvarztman in DECEMBER 2018 K-1 NOA2 ----> NVC
I agree with Met, probably best if you email the embassy. I know for the petition, you send in a copy of the petitioner's birth certificate or passport as proof of citizenship. At the interview, my fiance was never asked to show my birth certificate or passport.

Hey everybody! Just letting you guys know that we had our interview this morning and it went great.
The process was smooth and simple. Waiting times weren't half bad, pretty straight forward.
My fiancee was there with me but he wasn't allowed in the actual interview. The consul invited him in just to say hi and then asked him to leave.
I started the interview by swearing I was telling the truth and having my finger prints taken.
The consul was serious but proper and professional, not at all rude.
He asked me how we met, when and where. How the relationship developed, how we decided to get married, what we do for work and what our plans are for this year.
I chose to speak English, answered thoroughly and directly and that was it.
It took me at most 5 minutes. He congratulated me, said that my visa would be ready in a week and that was it.
I'm flying on the 7th, entering through Huston with my boy. Wish me luck!

Email the embassy and inquire about what they're okay with, that's what I did.

Yes it can be changed at the interview. Be sure all other documents you are filling out contain the correct date. Don't worry about AOS as that is all new and nothing ties together that would influence it in anyway with a minor mistake like that.

myjourney2018 reacted to AUS18B in Fiance Visa Philippines Process
From start to finish the process averages 8-11 months-ish, sometimes more, sometimes less. Your existing tourist visa can be used up until the K1 visa is issued.

The DS-3025 is the only thing you actually need, and they have to give you a copy. You ask for one at the time of the medical. It's the same at both clinics.

I believe you are correct, I remember answering some questions.

I will add to the confusion here but I was able to gain instant access, my cell phone is not in my name but on a family plan with a family member as the primary account holder. I don't remember what I did exactly to verify my account since it's been 3-4 weeks.

myjourney2018 reacted to C90 in successful AOS with confidential marriage certificate
In the end it's your own choice. To come back to your original question, I'm not sure if USCIS just randomly does stoke interviews or that there are factors that play a role. I didn't read many stories on here of people them, but I wouldn't be surprised if USCIS will question the reason of your choice a little more.
If I were the USCIS officer I would think it's one of the most important days of your life, you would think that friends and/or family would want to take a day off for that.
They can't deny you on it, they can give you a harder time and check a little more if your marriage is real. But if your marriage is real then it shouldn't matter if you get a confidential marriage record or a stoke interview. If this is going to give you more stress about the interview, I would just go with the normal license and take a witness (in CA apparently you only need 1, double check at your local clerks office) I'm sure they would be honored to be witness at your wedding.

myjourney2018 reacted to C90 in Question 38 I-134 form
You can leave it empty and explain on the last page (extra info) that it's N/A since its for your fiancé's K1 visa OR you can mark 'intent' and explain the contributions on the last page. https://www.***removed***/visitor-visa/sample-i-134-affidavit-of-support-form.pdf for an example to give you an idea

myjourney2018 reacted to Shiran in After k1 second interview
Based on the OP post they seem to be more interested verifying that relationship with current petitioner is bona fide, and not about some some fibbing on tourist visa that was disclosed before. I highly doubt they would've done some version of Spokes process on 2nd interview if their intent was to just deny it. The discrepancy was disclosed during first interview, so if their intent was deny due to that, they could've done it there and then, instead it went into AP, and 2nd interview involving USC. They just need sit put and wait, and see what develops. It is out of their hands now until they hear something back.

The I-134 is accepted by some embassy with a copy and others require a wet signature. You have to check your P3 once you have one to see what your embassy requires. I would recommend emailing them and asking the question then you have written proof of what they ask. Everything else that you stated is correct.

myjourney2018 reacted to JFH in I-129f questions
The best evidence for the in-person meeting requirement is passport stamps, boarding passes, hotel receipts and you can throw in a few photos if you wish but unless there is something in the picture that confirms the date the picture was taken they are only useful as secondary evidence.
There is no requirement to submit “evidence of an ongoing relationship” with the I-129F. London is a very easy embassy to get through due to the very low fraud rate there. Essentially, the view is taken by the embassy that there is little or no economic advantage for anyone from the UK to fraudulently enter into a marriage with an American to gain an immigration benefit.
Make your petition clean and simple.

myjourney2018 reacted to Alabamak1 in Social Security Question for VISA Interview
@Gar & Ella I was in Kiev for my wife's interview, it's best if you get your package ready, before you go to Kiev. Don't wait last minute to do this and double, triple check every document now. The hotel might have a printer yes and you can print it there, just it's best to have the paperwork ready. It's not a difficult interview and they do it in English, Ukrainian or Russian. If the interview is likely to be at 8:30am or early....be there 30 to 35 minutes ahead of the scheduled interview. Many other people , who usually go for other purposes (ie. B1/B2 visa) get in line and it gets crowded. No cellphone allowed in the embassy or place to leave them at the gate, except for a fee in a truck parked outside that does pictures and prints i think also. hope this helps, good luck

myjourney2018 got a reaction from wxman22 in My Fiancée and I use FaceTime - how do we show phone logs?
No problem, ultimately the choice is your to make. It's just there's some threads on here regarding sending chats log in the initial petition mainly due to providing too much information, you don't want to give the CO too much information so they can analyze it and question you.
As an after thought. I suppose since you hired an immigration lawyer, I would just go with what they say so if something does goes wrong you can blame them for the problem so they can't say well we suggested this but you didn't want to do it.

myjourney2018 reacted to IAmTheRainKing in My Fiancée and I use FaceTime - how do we show phone logs?
Thank you. I'm working with an immigration lawyer on prepping the K1...I used this site to get all my materials but they're saying I should send 20-30 photos and all these chat logs and Facetime logs (in addition to all the flight receipts, passport stamp photos and receipts of gifts we've mailed each other over the year.) I think they're just trying to be extra thorough but since we're hoping to get the initial process mailed in this week, I"ll make sure to keep photo logs of all FaceTime calls moving forward so she has them for the interview.
Thanks all!

proof of an ongoing relationship is for the interview part, for the initial petition they just want to know you guys met in the past 2 years to fulfill the requirements.
