    We had our interview yesterday!
It was super good and way better than the stern serious one I had for the K1.
We were called into the officers office, we sat on the other side of the room from him, took the oath and began.
He asked a few casual questions about us and our life. Luckily we play a lot of video games and so did the interviewer.

After that he went through our form with us, asking all the yes/no questions about trafficking, terrorism etc.
Then we gave our joint sponsor paperwork and after a brief look through he thanked us for being so organised and said he would be approving us.
The appointment was maybe 30/40 minutes and we definitely got lucky with the interviewer.
He only asked for our IDs, my work auth, passport and then any evidence of our relationship.
    Good luck everyone!

    Hi William&Emily,
I am sure times are tough with this pandemic and I hope that uscis realizes that too.. I'm not a specialist or attorney but I feel like that wouldn't make a difference at this point for your adjustment of status. Especially since you filled before the public charge rule was put in place. Also a reason I think it shouldn't affect you is because you are not asking for it but your spouse is (the US citizen) is asking for it.

Hey everyone! I finally got my interview date (January 15th!)
To double check- I now have our Grandma sponsoring me since my husband's job let him go during covid. Does he still need to provide affidavit of support info or do we just bring all the new stuff our Grandma is providing?
    Thanks!

As your petitioner, your husband will always be your primary sponsor, whether he has a job or not.  Your grandma is joint sponsor and will need to provide an I-864 plus required evidence.  Also prepare an updated I-864 from your husband, in case the USCIS interviewer asks for it (which is likely).

    Hi,
Apologies if this is asked a lot. I did take a look for an answer but the thread I found was from a while back.
I think I will need to renew my EAD. To do this would I have to include the below points? Anything more or less?
    Thanks in advance

    1. Fill out and sign form I-765. Link
    2. Two RECENT passport color photos with A-Number written on the back of them
    3. I 765 Approval Notice
    4. Photocopy of 485 receipt (i-797)
    5. Form G1145 for (email/sms) notification during the application process (optional)
    6. Photocopy of Current EAD/AP combo card (front and back)

Hi! We are scheduled on November 9, and it does not look like my husband is going to find a new job until then.
They require pay stubs for 3 months anyway. Even if he does find a job, it will most likely be too fresh.
As far as I know, the co-sponsor does not need to come to the interview. We plan to just bring the signed affidavit.
    Good luck!

Still waiting. It's not changed from March. 😕 At least this is giving my husband time to find a new job. If he hasn't by the time we're scheduled would our backup sponsor need to come to the interview or just bring paperwork?

    Hi! Same situation here.

No idea when they are going to schedule my interview either. The first one was cancelled due to COVID.
Right now everything is up in the air and my husband and I decided to wait and see. A family member agreed to co-sponsor, that will hopefully help.

    Hang in there! Tough times...

Hey, so we're currently waiting for our interview to be scheduled.
Due to all the covid stuff my husband has been laid off.
Does this mean that he can no longer be my sponser? Or will they kinda look at things differently due to the covid stuff?
Or... should I stop over thinking it and wait till we get a date for the interview, hoping he'll have a new job by then (though i doubt that's super easy right now)?
    Thanks in advance

Yes if was the only sponsor that it can potentially be an issue.  Hope he finds a new job and shouldnt be an issue if it arises. it is definitely a material change as he is the sponsor

I'd probably plan for the worst and hope for the best, in this scenario.

Do you have significant savings that could coast you through it? (I think there are guidelines as to how much you need to be able to get through it but afaiu it's quite a lot.)

I would try and find another sponsor - at least organise one in the short term - just in case you get called in before your spouse has settled into a new job.

Do you mean naming GCSEs or specific A-levels?  They wouldn’t understand the terminology. Graduated high school on an application form with no space except for the date would suffice. If you have a Uni degree, then don’t leave that off.
