  1. Thanks
Cari & Andy UB got a reaction from Beverlyr in Advice. Don’t have last year tax transcripts
FILE A TAX EXTENSION! It's super simple if you do it over Turbo Tax. If not, go to the IRS website and search it. I filed an extension and the stress is off my shoulders in trying to get that done on top of the million things we have to do with our situation.

    Good Luck!

Just print what you can get for now. The longer you wait the more will be deleted. You can go to your whatsapp and download the content, which might reflect the previous history too. Check your archived messages in Whatsapp too. Do you have messenger on facebook, they tend to keep all call records on the actual messenger webpage.

Well I emailed the embassy to ask if I needed to upload and NO ONE responded haha... so I am going to go ahead and upload it... I would rather do too much than not enough. I might call too so I'll let you all know.
Where did he get his Tax Return Extension Document?

I think the paperclips and staples might just be annoying for them to review, which is why they say not to put them. I honestly did clip things because my packet was also out of hand. I put tabs and labeled and didn't get an RFE. I agree with the person that said the names on passport photos would figure it out. You should be okay, definitely not a denial.

CEAC works best with Internet Explorer.

Yea, the CEAC gives you the option to upload "PHOTOGRAPHS" which means two 2x2 passport photos of the beneficiary. The secondary evidence of relationship you will only bring to the interview.

I used PDF filler for some sections. I think you should be fine using PDF filler. My forms were accepted for I-864 and I used it. Just make sure to print it and sign it with a black pen. Scan and then upload. Bring the original wet ink signed form to the interview. Also, I was able to do my application and then immediately after upload civil documents.

I don't think that's true. It could be for some cases I guess, but I was told  "accepted" means it's been actually accepted.

    I submitted tax transcripts for 2015, 2016, 2017. I submitted W-2’s for 2017 & 2018. All my AOS documents were accepted.

Hi, I call once a week. Now that I am moving toward the timeframe they gave (which was about 8 weeks) I am going to call Monday's and Friday's. I suggest you call!

So from now, the NVC will receive your case and then assign a number for your case. You will use that number to submit your visa application via CEAC online and they will tell you the next steps. Most of us have called once or several times a week to see if the NVC has either received the case or has assigned a number. I say call the NVC and check up on the status. My case was approved on 11/05 and send from USCIS to NVC on 11/15... on 11/26 NVC told me they received the case that day. I am still waiting to get a case number assigned...they said can take up to 8 weeks. So I'm calling again today, like I have been every Monday.

Good luck! There are so many links and resources you can look up NVC steps online and find the checklists.

Our case was approved on 11/05/18. On 11/15/18, we got a text from USCIS indicating they had sent the case to the DOS/NVC. I called yesterday (11/19/18), but still nothing has been received or assigned. Does anyone know what sort of mail courier they use that it takes 2 weeks to arrive...just you know a thought.

That is for the Spanish documents, they should also be in English... certified translations which only means that the person doing the translation certifies in a separate affidavit that they are fluent in both languages, etc. I had others do them for me, like friends and coworkers for free, but you can also pay services to do that. I attached an affidavit copy if you want it to give to whoever translates them

My case was approved on 11/5 and then we received the paper notice on 11/9 and then yesterday, 11/15, I was notified via text and the app that the case has been sent from USCIS to NVC/DOS for visa processing. It took 10 days from approval to be sent out by USCIS....4 weeks and 8 weeks definitely seems long.

I called NVC the other day and the lady was so sweet to give me tips and tricks to move things along faster. She advised that I call once a week to ask for a case number and to give them our contact information. She said that it can take up to 6 weeks, but most of the time it's faster. She did provide a tip for when I DO have a case number. She said to get a number and fill out the Choice of Agent and then submit it. Once that is confirmed to print out the cover sheet confirming submission and to call NVC to have them process it right then and there. She said most people don't do that and so they have to wait for it to be processed...which can take 3 weeks.

If I were I would call NVC every day until they give you a number. I plan on calling this afternoon, since I was just notified that the case was sent yesterday. I also suggest sending emails to inquire about it. NVC tends to prefer email to calls. Here is the email I used:

but you did get a letter from the NVC, right? like with your case number? I might give the NVC a call then to see what they suggest. THANK YOU! I love having this to be able to ask and get info.
