Mekulisch reacted to Vante in I-751 September 2021 Filers
Just get it randomly I think. My original extension is good until December of this year but it just came in out of the blue A few weeks ago. I initially thought it was my interview letter but it wasn’t.

Sincere condolences to everyone here who is directly or indirectly affected.

A lot of field offices have a real average time to interview that's faster than the real average time to EAD/AP (as opposed to the official estimated ranges).
My pet theory (with no evidence) is that they prioritize EAD and AP applications from slower field offices. That would make sense, anyway; someone in SF or Houston and likely over a year from their interview probably needs EAD/AP a lot more than we do (with Anastasia's interview already scheduled).

It depends on how much backlog they have at the National Benefit Center, accordingly, so it varies. They give out their own processing times and adjust it as they see fit, so it can take as long as it takes (in our case, the first time it took 3.5 months, the second time around for the renewal it took 8.5 months). Also, not to be too much of a downer, but if your office is Seattle - trust me, you won't have to worry about getting your AOS done before getting the Combo card... Good luck on your journey!

How could you have gotten charged if they did not receive it?🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂.
It can take 30 days even if your payment is cashed.
You will receive a new RECEIPT number for every separate application you file.

I also sent to the Chicago Lock-box. We called them last Friday and they initiated a service request. No update yet. Too long of a wait for the biometrics. Crazy!

Mekulisch got a reaction from Shiran in NEXT STEP: ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS
Please note: get a printout of the I-94. The SSA will tell you that they won’t issue a SS# to a K-1 (bring a print out of their own office guidelines which say...”yes, you do!” And ask for a supervisor if necessary. Even though your passport is stamped with the date your I-94 expires, that isn’t enough for the SSA...it will take 3 minutes to print out the I-94 online and it will save you wasting 2 hours of your life...there is a spot on the form the SSA fills out that requires the I-94 information/number.

He needs to petition for you. Guides are available in the Guides section. Read them, follow them.
Unfortunately, nothing in immigration is remotely fast. You are looking at nearly a year for the entire process to complete

Update for anyone that needs future guidance:
I stayed in Russia and it was the best decision. My fiance snatched a date this morning and girls on whatsapp group alerted me at the same time he was booking an appointment. Team work is definitely a great help when it comes to K1s in Russia.

Mekulisch got a reaction from Serena wehbi in "Application Received" on CEAC
Ours changed from AP to “application received” but, note this important change: it went from “immigrant” to “non-immigrant.” Since your fiancé will enter the US as a “non-immigrant” status that’s a good indication that your visa is almost issued. However, another person on VJ said that their status remained as “application received” for 12 days before changing to “issued.” No telling when or why things move or don’t.

Hi there everyone~
Been out of touch with this website for a while now. Came back to give everyone an update.
My fiancee just had her interview in Korea yesterday and she was approved without any problems!
How long does it take to see "Ready" status to "Issued"?
