This made my day! I'm a June 6, 2018 filer and I was getting sad just seeing RFEs from my PD date, no approvals. I'm glad to see they are moving for at least some June filers.

Nag & Matt reacted to twoworldsonelove in I130 Expedite Request -USCIS
So I wanted to make this post to help anyone who has questions about an expedite request during the USCIS stage. I had a hard time finding information.I will also update how the process will go for NVC but so far is a timeline of events
Mailed Application: Dec 28th
Tracked Delivery on Dec 31st
Payment processed via CC Form G-1450: 01/03/2019
NOA1 & Service Center: 01/04/2019
Texas Service Center
Requested Expedite: 03/15/19 via phone (medical)
USCIS responded via email to submit evidence: 03/17/2019( letter from my doctor)
Respond with evidence 03/17/2019
USCIS responded via email 03/21/2019 -CASE DENIED
I decided to try again but when I called you have to wait at least 5 days before initiating another request.
So again called April 3rd to USCIS, the rep will ask you under which category you would like to request the expedite. I didnt give her any details other than I wanted to request it for Medical.
April 5th- just two days after, I recieved an email from TSC to send evidence of my medical situation. I had already had the paperwork ready so I responded to the email the same day.
This time I sent more evidence
Personal Letter explaining why I needed the requested expedited
A letter from my doctor with medical records
Power of Attorney information that states the Beneficiary as my POA
NOTE: The information you send for evidence is crucial to rather your request gets granted or not..so I don't know which specific evidence granted the approval but I sent as much as I can to avoid another denial. It is a case by case situation so less or more information should be given depending on your situation.
April 5th- received an auto reply that they recieved the evidence and will review.
April 12th- I recieved another email stating the request was granted and I should have a response within 30 days.
April 17th- I recieved an email that an action was taken on my case, I checked the website and it said approved.

So... our "Case Last Updated" field updated to today's date on CEAC... Do you think that's a good sign? We have no pending inquiries with the embassy that would make them update it based on communication with us. This is the first time that field in CEAC has updated since we've been in AP except when they are replying to us.

Nag & Matt reacted to Issam1984 in Travel Ban Support Group
i have a question please, what happens after the case is not in AP? the embassy calls the applicant? email? they change the status in CEAC before the call? after? .. do the applicant have to file new paper work and do the medical exams again? since AP might be long in most cases .. please let me know from your experiences .. also another question, have any one tried to reach out the visa office in Washington DC. where the Waivers are processed according to the embassy? please advise

Nag & Matt reacted to Mirna.A in Syrian Spouse Under Administrative Processing
Hello, everyone. So after waiting 1year and two months after my husband’s interview, we finally got the news that his visa is ready. And yes, after telling us his visa is ready, they told us he only has 5 months left on his passport and that it can’t be less than 6. 🤦🏻♀️ We tried everything we could to get an extension on his passport but in Syria, it is impossible because the government removed the ability to extend passports due to security issues during the war. We had to send in a new passport and are back to waiting for God knows how long.
Just wanted to give everyone hope that it is possible to get a visa and to be careful and check how long your passport is valid. I will keep everyone updated.

We checked my husband passport before the interview ever was scheduled and we applied for a new passport at the embassy of Syria here in Turkey expedite service and we got the new passport within one month. There are other expedite services there but we chose one month.

Hi I don't know the link because it's an app on my phone, but I can tell you the name and describe it to you! I have an iPhone. It's called Case Tracker and the icon has a vertical American flag with a white eagle (in a navy blue circle) in the middle.

Nag & Matt reacted to gonzolux in I-130 June 2018 filers
No. My PD is June 6th. I have been doing the Case Tracker app search for the 500 cases around mine every day lately. There has been some movement in sending out RFEs over the past few days but no approvals.

We got an RFE after 11months of waiting 😢😢 . I thought they will going to approve it already because theres an officer reviewing our case, but thats not it. I hope they told us more early that we need more evidence, it took them 11months just to give us the result. 😢

Hate to beat a dead horse. There is a difference between normal wait times and an indefinite suspension with no guidance for the future. But you already knew that.

anyone from a travel ban country with successful waiver for k1/ir1/cr1?
Is it even worth starting the process?

Nag & Matt reacted to Muhammad&Mansory in Writ of mandamus from a country under Travel ban
For cases from countries that are not under the ban, they do not automatically go under AP. A lot of cases get approved right after the interview and a few go under AP for some several reasons(and sometimes for no reason). So I do not think it is a completely bad idea to think about this option; but you are right, there are risks that come with it due to the unclarity and due to the fact that noone has followed this route(as far as I know)!

Just wanted to give everyone hope inshallah:
my husband's visa was issued! After 4 months in administrative processing. He will come to the US inshallah next week.
Keep pushing anyone around you that you can for support. This is the only way. Be respectful to embassy staff but follow up over email at least once a month. Talk to your senators and representatives. Get anyone who can to make an inquiry on your case! I have a feeling we were only successful because of sustained pressure over time, from media as well if you can! I wrote a personal essay and last week when things were being spoken about in the news again, I posted it on FB and I believe this had some part in it.
