I don't see why this is "messed up". I am glad to see that local authorities are doing their job and following up to protect public health.
Unfortunately, our national government does not share the same view.

It appears they are trying to make it easier obtain a recognized divorce.

Does anybody know if Manila requires the same? If so, would you please reference the source. Thanks!

My friend she got covid from a nurse giving her Rabie Shots, They contract traced her. This was 2 months ago.
She was placed in a quarantine facility which was free and she was given food it was alot of rice and very little meat, She was tested after a few days being in there and test came back positive. She was tested like 2 weeks later and it was negative, instead of getting released then, she had to spend 7 more days in the quarantine facility. She was there for month, she sent me pics of the food and it was crappy even by Philippines standards.
My Fiancee's family have been very sick. They refused to get tested cause if positive they will be sent to a hospital to die.

Where they arrested without a court trail?
Or were they arrested on the claim?
it was a friend of my fiancee. She owed money to a person there. That person made a complaint to the police and was taken into custody based on what the lender told them. A family member paid the lender and she was released. I would think that they are arrested on the claim and held for court trial.

She borrowed money for her Dads funeral, and told the friend that loaned her the money that she would pay it back in 2 days, but she could not get it in 2 days. I guess the person reported her to the police, and they wrote her up, and held her for 2 more days. Then we got the money and she was released. Is this a crime that we have to report in our Visa request? And which Visa doI need if we get married first in the Philippines? I am thinking of using a Lawyer, any recommendations in Chandler Arizona?
I have heard of this. Although I don't know how it will appear on a police cert.

@Commish10Looks like the lockdown cancelled your interview... Again.
You guys can't get a break. Hopefully this will not last as long as the last one.
Hang in there.
Yes. The embassy was open but St Lukes is closed. We have a new appointment for St Lukes on August 23 IF the ECQ expires as scheduled. Also waiting for a rescheduled appointment.

What type of requirements are needed to travel to Manila for the Interview?
Depending on the quarantine classification. St Lukes is not open under ECQ and only possibly under MECQ. If you completed your medical, then all you really need is the appointment letter. An appointment at the embassy is essential travel I am told.

I'm sure the numbers are actually much worse but underreported. My Fiance lives up north so once she's cleared I have to coordinate a million things to make sure she has people to help her and hotels to stay part of the time in Manila.
I always book hotels through Agoda. City Garden Suites Hotel is nice, inexpensive, close to the embassy and is NOT a quarantine hotel. So no sick people.

ECQ is the lockdown of Manila that started on August 6. It's expected to last until August 20, but I doubt it. Things are getting very bad there again. I would expect ECQ to last till the end of the month at least.

I think the last time I got it escalated was July 15th. I called again 2 days ago to check on it and they said they were going to note my inquiry. Has the escalated to post actually worked for anyone? does it make a difference?
Yes, it worked for me. That's how I got my status changed and an interview date. Our interview was supposed to be tomorrow, but St Lukes closed with ECQ, so waiting for it to reopen. Another member told me about the escalate to post and that's how he got his interview in July.

I've sent that letter multiple times because I've never gotten a true response from them saying "hey we got it. you wanna extend even though it's expired" It just falls into a void. We were completely done in 2020. I was about to book the Interview in March when this hit. It's literally all we had left to do. I got another response from the embassy saying to send that letter. Which is ridiculous because I've sent it over half a dozen times already.
Call them. Tell them what you want done and tell them you want it "Escalated to Post". This will escalate it to a consular officer and will get resolved in about 3 weeks.
-
First you have to send the embassy a letter telling them you are still interested in pursuing the visa and get the status changed. PSA, NBI etc only valid for 6 months. As far an an interview you have a long wait. My original case created date is December 2019, and I'm still dicking around with them.

Omg boarding time is 1:10 for flight to dfw and she was told to claim her luggage, what happens now
She will be able to put her baggage on a belt to her next flight, IF they checked her bags through to DFW. I have not flown into SFO from an international flight recently. Depending on where the international arrivals exit, she may have to go through security again in SFO as a domestic flight. Hopefully, they gave her all the boarding passes, or she will have to get one for the flight to Dallas.

True, but if she is in the USA the rest is easy now even if she has to catch another flight, She is in the USA and out of the Philippines and all their stupid rules and regulations.
Worse come to worse he could drive and pick her up as long as she is inside the lower 48 states
They will just book her on the next flight out

Dang, I have Delta SkyMiles and AA Advantage Miles, you could book the Korean Air thru Delta. My wife took it a few years ago and said the plane to Seoul was half full and she really enjoyed the flight,
I agree. Much Much better than American in everyway. Wider seats, More Leg Room, Better Food/Service, and no 100 year old flight attendants.

American uses travel partner Japan Airlines to Japan and then AA onto USA.
I would book on her any flight I can to get her out of Philippines asap, I would avoid PAL.
Look into Korean Airlines, the have non stop from Seoul to DFW, this was pre covid.
Bottom line money wouldn't be an object at the moment, Good Luck and keep us updated.
No more DFW for Korean Air. That was my go to airline over American

Go to another lab and get another test. You only have to show the airline the negative test. Just throw the other ones away.
