Actually my fiance got a phone call.
Phone call to pick up the letter. I have no clue why they never send anything to the beneficially. It's always like this from what I've heard. The 6,000 cases are going to take some time.
-
Best wishes.

Good luck and don't give up the fight. Continue growing your relationship.
-
Congrats! My NOA2 expires June 20th. Maybe this is why our interview is alittle later.
Good luck and bring her home. Don't forget to write a full report.
-
finally, my fiance got a call from the US embassy yesterday, they scheduled for the interview on June 15th 9AM sharp! they asked her to bring all the documents.....our NOA2 will be expired on June 12th, i guess they automately extent it.
Dustin, are you sure it's for the Interview?
My fiance also received a call from them yesterday to pick up her appointment LETTER on June 15th. This will let us know when her interview date is going to be. They specifically told her it's NOT the interview itself but to pick up the appointment letter. Don't think 2 weeks notice is not enough time to gather all the paperwork, especially when it needs to come from the USC side as well. I'll have another chat with my fiance and verify.

Congrats!

The guides are that, guides. Many have gone through without the tax transcript but I would get them just in case. Getting the tax transcript is very easy. Just give the IRS a call. Done in 10 minutes.

Same here. Still waiting. I did talked to someone who had their Interview May 2nd and they said there were over 11 fiance interview on that day. About 8 out of the 11 past. The other she believes either got denied or request for more evidence.
Starting to believe they are doing it in batches instead of as they receive them. Again, it's only a guess.
-
I received my tax transcrip for the past 3 years awhile back. It's stapled together and in order for me to make copies I need to unstaple them. Is this really OK to unstaple them, make copes and restable them back again? Or would it be easier to order another copy when I'm ready to file for AOS? I still have the envolope they send over. Or am I just being overly concern?

Do you have any pictures with other couples or major landmark?
I submitted numberous pictures of us in public places hugging and holding hands. At the airport, tourist sites they should reconize, resturant, all in plain view with other people in the back ground. I suspose if all they got were pictures of two people in an isolated place may be graded differently than say holding her hands at the airport.
Pictures with her family and friends. My biggest proof is a picture of her grandma in tears on our engagement ceromony. Even a lover's qureal between emails. hahaha.. These could be used but the most important thing is during the interview.
Meaning, look at the CO straight in the eyes, be asurtive, smile, etc etc etc. Don't appear nervous. These are more important IMO. I mean, if the relationship is genuine their body launage will show it wheather it's in pictures or during an interview.

Play it safe and put down no. If they ask simply explain to them from your fiance's perspective something along the lines of.
No. I want to marry my fiance first. Once that's settled we're talk about it.
Pretty much saying no but it's still on the table. That's how I'm doing it. Along with school as well.

Congrats

I had the same question. They may help.

While you're at it how about a guest list? Or have everyone sign a guest book? Include the vendors and try getting their business card. It would be much easier now than to wait untill after the ceromonial wedding is over. Take a couple of pictures of how many people are attending it. If you can, save the memory card off your digital camera ( I did from our engagement). My guest list for our engagement was over 300+ people. I'm sure it'll make a good impression on the CO. This is most likely more than needed but it's better to have the CO ask about the engagement/wedding ceromonial than other questions. Good luck and have a great time!

I send them the orginal calling cards (around 30 or so) during the I-129F process and got approved. I was thinking more for the Interview as I have close to 100 more. I'll try giving them a call. Hope I don't need a subpeona or the like. Having $500+ of prepaid calling card should hold some weight even without the logs at the very least. We also communicate via email. My fiance printed over 100 pages worth of email from me. I have 100 pages as well from her. I wish I knew about pingo.com as I have a paypal account. I'm weary about using my credit card online. Besides, I'm using them to keep in touch with her, not just to show the embassy.I was in the same situation as you. What I did, as I didnt know what to do either, is I just copied all the cards on the same sheet. Lined them up on the copier so I fit about 12 or 16 on one sheet. Then I turned them over and copied them all again to the same sheet, again the same 12 or 16, all with differnt serial numbers and different calling codes, to show they were all different codes. I sent mine to my fiance like that, and it worked out for us.Good luck!

I've been using prepaid calling cards to keep in touch with my fiance because it's cheaper and easier. The downsize is it doesn't generate a paper trail. Has anyone been able to get the logs of the calling cards?
I could give customer service a call but what do I ask for? Can I get the logs from all calls comming from phone number xxxx? Or do I need to give them all the serial number? These are just plain old calling cards I got from gas station on my way home. To anyone who was able to get the logs please share your experience with us as this will be very helpful.

Congrats!!!!!!!!

It depends on the situation. My case I have a letter with an explanation but told my fiance to only show it if they ask. Stress to her ONLY if they ask. I advise you should prepare one just in case as the Consulate can ask for any document they want.
I am going to list my parents certificate # in part B. It makes the most sense im my opinion.

Congrats!!!!

I'm in the same situation as you. Born in another country and emigrated to the US. Parents became US citizens before I was even a teen. And never got my US Citizenship certificate.
It doesn't say to provide proof of citizenship on the I-134. It only asked HOW you became a US Citizen. I'm going to go with this method. The US Citizenship was done on the USCIS stage. If a US Passport issued by the department of state doesn't prove citizenship what does? The very same passport that will allow me entry in the US in any POE. I will be present during my finance's interview and she will show them my passport.

Meeting more than once is always a good thing. Our engagement was on my second trip. I plan on attending the interview with my fiance which will be my third trip. I think the timming is as important. My second trip shows proof of ongoing relationship since it was after the filling of the petition. Taking more than one trip isn't needed but helps IMO.
-
Take a look at my timeline. From what I've heard, this is the norm. Despite what their instructions says they do not mail the packet 3 to the beneficially but rather, the petitioner in the US which can take literally 30+ days via snailmail. Give them about 2 weeks once it reaches the embassy and send them an email inquiry. They will reply back with the packet 3.
We already send out our packet 3 from the attached email they send us and yet have not received anything from the embassy. All calls to the embassy is a ring no answer. I plan on giving them another week before I ring them up again. I am still waiting on my packet 3 from them.

It's on a case by case basis but I believe the US will only reconize dual citizenship for certain country.
In this example:
My US Passport shows I was born in Cambodia (which I am). When I went to visit Cambodia for the very first time I was given a Permanent multi-entry visa. The Cambodian government sees me as a dual citizen. I can apply for the rights and benifits as any Cambodian citizen. I could even get married and register at a local communte. However, the US Embassy will NOT reconize that as a valid "official" wedding as the US Embassy have their own rules.
It just means I have all the rights of a Cambodian citizen but I am treated as a regular US citizen in the eyes of the Embassy. I must still follow the rules of the US Embassy. Your situation may be similar.

Few things to note if you got Packet 3 via email:
-One of the medical exam document, the 5-DS-2053.pdf you may not be able to read it. May have something to do with how it was written or version of adobe we were using. Neither myself nor my fiance was able to read it using various different PCs. Don't worry about it. My fiance spoke with the medical examiner and the forms are not needed. They have it and will fill them out and everything. They will also tell you this infomation.
-The instructions say to bring 1 x 1 ½ inches pictures to the medical exam. That is a typo. She tried many different photo shops and none were able to produce that size. So once again, she had to call the medical exam and 2x2 inches is fine.
-She said the medical exam is around $100-200 depending on injection. She doesn't have the exact figure. I'll update this once her medical is over.
-The injection discourage the patient from having a child for the child might have disability. Recommended to wait 3-4 months before conceiving. My fiance is afraid of needles. My advice, play ignorance. Once the doctor takes out that needle................................. too late.
-Her appointment is on 05/02/2007 and was told to pick up the results on 05/09/2007. Your fiance will need several 2x2 photos, photo copy of her passport (front and back is fine), and your PHP case number. Call to make an appointment.
As always, ask the medical examiner when your fiance calls to verify all this info as it may change.
