AlexDRavn92 got a reaction from Inita in APPROVED CASE GETS STUCK at USCIS. THEN WE RECEIVE THIS RESPONSE TO OUR SERVICE REQUEST. PLEASE HELP US INTERPRET IT.
I think it's worth a try to call again.
I am sorry to hear about your case, it's really horrible being stuck in their system.
Their process really sucks and if it was a private company all these phone operators would be laid off.

AlexDRavn92 got a reaction from S&S16 in Expedite request APPROVED
So applying for expedite doesn't affect your case at all.
The NVC sends the request for expedite to your embassy and the Embassy will determine to see if they will allow to have your case expedited.
So I would say just try it.

AlexDRavn92 got a reaction from Paul & Mallory in Scandinavians Part 2
Hello fellow Scandinavians!
Just had my interview and it went perfect, except they haven't received my medical examination yet, which i already knew was going to happen.
(My case got expedited and did not have time to schedule medical in good enough time in advance)
So the interviewer told me that he will send my passport when they receive the medical examination records.
My question is, does anybody know if the embassy will send me an email when they receive the medical examination records, to let me know?
Thank you for all your help.

Hello guys.
Finally received my VISA today! Can't believe it, after waiting so long!
So in the yellow envelope i received with my passport, there is a note saying i have to pay the USCIS immigrant fee.
When I try to, it tells me it couldn't find my info, and it's probably because my visa was just issued (1st of October).
Just wanted to hear how long other people waited until they could pay this fee?
It says it's the fee to cover the ost for the actual green card.

Anything can happen after the interview, so definitely don't buy plane tickets until you have the visa in hand, unless the ticket is refundable or if it's possible to at least change the date.
There could be missing documents that the embassy requires that you forgot to bring to the interview, or missing pages of the documents you did bring, or documents that weren't up to their standards that could require you to order new ones etc, etc. There are so many things that could go wrong, really, and that could delay your visa approval.
The passport could disappear on its way to you. Especially if handled by PostNord...
Even the visa itself could have wrong information, misspelled name etc. Then you'd have to send it back to the embassy and they'd have to make a new one and ship it to you again.
So yeah, definitely don't get any plane tickets before having the visa in hand. Only after you receive it and check the info on it you can be sure everything's good to go.

I called the Medical office in Copenhagen last week, and they told me that it takes 11 days for them to send the results to the embassy.
But it seems crazy that you have to wait 3-4 weeks for administrative processing.
Unfortunately I have no information about this part.

We've been trying to call a couple of times to, and sometimes the tier 1 rep, won't even let us speak to a supervisor.
It was not until my wife was very firm and said that tier 1 "you can't help us, I need to speak to a supervisor".
She basically just explained our situation to the supervisor, and she was really sorry for us and said she would reissue it. My wife is in California right now, and I can ask more in depth what she said to make it happen.
But as I understood it, she just explained the whole situation and that we are far apart from each other and all that stuff, which made the supervisor feel sorry for us. She also explained that we were first told to wait 90 days before USCIS could do anything about it, and that time has passed now and that they need to act or do something.
I am not sure if we were just lucky to reach a sensible supervisor or not.
So far our case has reached the NVC and we have confirmation from them that they received it, and we are awaiting case number at the moment.
What we did was to call right when the USCIS opened.
And I am the beneficiary living in Denmark right now, and our service center was Nebraska.

She spoke to a tier-2 rep (supervisor) and all she did was being firm with them, and saying that we waited the 90 days and after that they can reissue the case.
And they need to do it, because we waited the required 90 days, and now they need to do whats next.
She just said she was super firm and said they have to follow the rules.

So we finally received some good news.
August 7th we actually received an update on our case that the USCIS finally sent our approved petition to the NVC.
(So I bet they never sent it in the first place, 90some days ago.)
My wife called the NVC yesterday, and on August 13th they actually received our case.
The supervisor also told us that we can already now send a request to expedite the case, because they received yet.

So we received an email, where it said that there has been an update at the USCIS online account.
And when we logged on to the online account it said that they send our case 7th of august.
So then we called the NVC a couple of days ago, and the supervisor confirmed that they did receive it, and that it is waiting to be put in their system (get a case number).
But she did tell us, that we can already now send the expedite email, since she can see that NVC received it, so we just write our receipt number in the subject line.
We are requesting an expedite of our case, 1. because my wife is sick with a severe disease where she is technically considered handicapped and she does need my help daily, 2. financial hardship and 3. it says that you can apply for expedite if the case has been extremely delayed at the fault of USCIS.
We have no idea if it is going to be accepted, but it's at least worth a try.
I'll keep you posted when i hear more.

Hello.
Yes we have updates, so we reached the 90 days mark, and we called and the first two tier 1 rep we talked to said they couldnt do anything. On the third call wife demand to speak to a supervisor, and an hour later the supervisor called us back and said she was sorry to hear what we've been through and was going to recreate our case. She told us it could now take up to 10 days for them to sent it, and 5 days later we got a confirmation that it was sent on our online account. My wife then called again to ask what was happening next and said to wait 7 days, and she thinks he said till they receive it and they will process ours faster since we've been through. But we are not really believing it, since we've been through all this.
So tomorrow the 7 days passed, so we are excited to see what is happening.
I will keep you updated,

AlexDRavn92 got a reaction from lady3jane in NVC can't find our petition
My wife (US citizen) called the USCIS yesterday and after talking to 3 reps they finally allowed her to speak to a supervisor (they are the only one allowed to reissue).
So they finally reissued our petition which can take up to 10 days, and then they will send it to the NVC again.
Hopefully they receive it this time.

This sucks.
We have been trying to contact both USCIS and NVC, and nobody seems to want to help us.
All they say is "We can't do anything until 90 days have passed".
So on July 31 we are calling again.
From what I heard a supervisor at NVC say, is that they create copies of all the petitions at USCIS.
And therefor the USCIS will recreate the approved petition, and send it again to the NVC.

Hello VisaJourney.
We got our I-130 petition approved may 1st, but it hasn't reached the NVC yet.
We have submitted an inquiry to NVC research, and they say that "they are currently working with the USCIS to locate the petition".
When we call the USCIS, they say that they won't do anything until we wait 90 days since the petition was approved.
I am curios to know, if anybody else has been through this?
And what will actually happen after the 90 days have passed and the petition still haven't reached the NVC.

After I received the notification for the NOA2, I never heard anything until I got the case number issued. I tried contacting NVC and they just said the same, to wait. Back then, I received my case number 55 days after the NOA2!
I see that your service center is Nebraska (like mine) and they are known for being absolutely the worst and slowest possible on everything, including forwarding your case to NVC...
There's no much you can do until the deadlines given are reached (in the case, up to 90 days). I'm sure there's nothing wrong and you will hear from them soon ^^
