Hey, just thinking on this more. At what point after DQ did you get notified of the interview date?

It makes a difference if you are sitting in silence for months, or instead had a date and tried to seek alternative embassy to interview at.

Russians have to do in Warsaw, but from what I heard the doctor speaks Russian a bit and in general no one had a problem with communication

Since Moscow IV unit is currently not back to routine* processing, other IV posts (e.g. Warsaw, etc.) can accept the cases: https://fam.state.gov/fam/09FAM/09FAM050404.html "Unless physically present in the consular district as described above (see paragraph a above) an alien in whose country of residence IVs are routinely processed should not normally be accepted for processing by a post in a third country."

*Moscow isn't doing any routine cases and only on average 3/month exceptional circumstance cases: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html

To answer both of your questions, you can attempt to get into Poland by getting an Italian Business Schengen Visa (approximately 700+ Euros), apply for a Greek Schengen Visa, and/or apply for Polish Student Visa. These are all methods that have worked for others. We went the Greek route.

I bet it is because these visas can be "interview waiver". Mission critical list will make more sense otherwise.

Are DACA people here legally? Did they follow the law to come to this country? I'll await your very clear and direct answer on this. (To address your point about supporting illegal immigration)

What happened 400, 500 or 600 years ago has no bearing on what the law states today in this republic. The law is clear as it stands on immigration.

Immigrants coming to this country at the expense of the American worker are not good for the country as a whole, unless there are no qualified American workers who can perform those tasks. Companies are happy to pay immigrants less money for the same work that an American would require, but that doesn't seem to bother you.

The president does not write the laws; he enforces the laws. If you have a problem with the current laws, complain to your elected representatives.

exactly.  In many countries, businesses are back to work...except for the USA embassy (I don't know and don't care about other embassies).  Tells us (sadly) that this is political rather than health related. And certainly not "let's get back to work related".  (here is where the "don't complain about our awesome government" police pile onto me).

ViktorS got a reaction from igoyougoduke in Is self-quarantine after arrival required by law?
The past tense is the key. The outbreak is already here and we are talking about now, not about some point in January-March applying 20/20 hindsight.  There is more sense in quarantine after riding NYC subway than after visiting Europe and taking all precautions possible. How about quarantine after a trip to a local supermarket? Are you sure that there less chance of contracting  it there?
So maybe instead of labeling people irresponsible by default one should think of a context that may differ from a remote village?

I'd love to see some recent data about %% of infected passengers from the international flights

    You could get ITIN: https://www.hrblock.com/tax-center/filing/personal-tax-planning/tax-help-for-us-citizen-married-to-non-resident/
    https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-alien-spouse
The relevant search will be "treating non-resident alien spouse as resident"
As far as I understood you need to mail to IRS:
W7 Your passport Declaration that you and your spouse what to treat you as a resident alien 1040 with "W7 attached, applied for ITIN" in place of yours SSN The documents you regularly need to file with 1040 (W2s, etc)

If she doesn't have vaccine records she can do blood titers to show sufficient level of antibodies. Do it before the exam as it can be couple of days to get results back. Some vaccines are contraindicated in pregnancy so she won't have to take them (MMR). You're past the flu season so don't need that one either.
