As long as you're listed as the father on the birth certificate, and qualify to pass on US citizenship to your son/daughter, you can get a US passport for the baby, regardless of where the baby is born or whether you're married or not.

my experiance is if she can handle you at your worst then she can handle you at your best.with my current gf(dominican) i did everything possible to annoy her and heavily tested her about things.so far shes no drama very caring and big heart kind of person.

What country are you asking about? Each country has a different process.

So is my now husband. Nope, nothing will be sent to her via mail. Everything is via email. You just have to do your best to come up with an address that somewhat represents where she lives for the paperwork.

Chene reacted to LizM in I-94 needed for I-129F?
Hi, we're currently filling out the I-129F form and it clearly states that the I-94 information (38.a. - 38.h.) is not needed unless the beneficiary is in the US. But I did see some comments in this forum about attaching the most recent I-94 if you checked the Yes box for "Has your beneficiary ever been in the United States?". As I'm the beneficiary and I have been to the US, I just retrieved my I-94 from cbp.gov and it does not show my departure date. "Most recent date of entry" (07/28/17) is correct, but then all it says is "Admit until date" and lists 10/25/17. I went on an ESTA so it does make sense that I'm admitted until October, but since I left already, should that not be reflected?

So is the I-94 really needed (can't find anything on uscis.gov about this) and if it is, what do we do if it's not accurate? We just don't want to submit contradicting information (as the I-129F is clearly stating that I've left the country) when we're not really sure it's even needed.

google has info on flights go to google.com/flights you put in the useual things and then it will show you the various prices starting wiht the cheapest - but this is only for the major airlines.
But on the bottom right hand side there is a little bar graph icon - click on that and it will show you the cheapest price it has for each day and you can scroll across the month - be aware that something as small and extending the trip by a day or 2 can change the price up or down so going from a 7 day to a 8 day trip might save money
I usually find a Friday afternoon flight so my trip is 15 days rather than 14 days
    Good Luck
    Have fun

Hi,  My fiance is from Santo Domingo, DR and I put the same mailing and home address for him.  So, definitely do the same unless she has a different mailing address from her home address.

My Petition was delivered to USCIS on Thursday (2/8/2018) and I'm eagerly waiting for USCIS to cash my check so that I can feel a little relieved that I didn't miss anything when filing my I-129F petition.

It's funny but never have I ever wanted $535 gone from my checking account this bad

The cover letter is outdated, apparently. The guide is current.
When in doubt, check the I-129F instructions. This defines what is required more than any guide.

Technically no. As long as you have met within the last two years... you have.. and are both free and legally able to marry, you qualify.

That being said, the I129f petiton stage at USCIS shouldnt be an issue. its possibly when you got the embassy level for interview. The Dominican Republic isnt the hardest embassy but it isnt the easiest either so they may question such a short relationship but you would have an extra 7 or 8 months most likely to build the relationship, plus maybe an extra visit or two.

Thats good, always be prepared and informed. Something you see a lot of on here is people not understanding the process.

Also check out the Domincan Republic forum for more specifics into how the process works and peoples experiences.

If you feel like it's not too soon for a K-1 visa, then pursue it, if you both are 100% sure to get married this year and her leaving her home behind.

As Ben already advised, make another trip or two to build your relationship up more. Marriage it's just something. After K-1, it takes another aprox. 1 year to gain residency. Another $1225 after entering on the K-1 visa, and ~4 months until she receives her work authorization or is allowed to leave and re-enter the country if she wants to leave. There are a whole lot of restrictions and costs for a K-1 holder.

I'd suggest to fully read into this whole process, and the costs. But also, if you both (mostly her) will be able to be dependent for a while.

    Lockbox.

theres no uscis office that it will go to, as all I-129f goes to California. However it is not assigned till then so lockbox is enough.

the green one says before it “when submitting for interview”

So that will be needed when you’re writing one for the interview.
