After many phone calls, I have found a lab that will do my titers for Chicken Pox and MMR. Going on Thursday and will have results in 3 days after that. I’ll have to translate it but that’s easy, I can do that. Thank you for all your help. Only going to cost $25.00 and much piece of mind. Thank you all.

My doctors told me the same, so it should be fine. They told me that I could get the second doses four weeks later so I got the second doses then because I don’t like to leave anything longer than necessary with this process haha. But that was just personal choice. I could have gotten them done after my interview though.

I had chicken pox as a child and they didn’t care. I either had to get vaccinated or get a blood test proving immunity. Not sure if all doctors are the same, but it’s probable.
your family doctor can order the test too. I think it was called a titer test. I didn’t have time for the results so I just got vaccinated again.

Hate to double post, but I crossed into the USA on my CR1 visa tonight. Everything went well and I am officially a permanent resident of the United States. Best of luck to you all ♥️

Hey everyone!
update on my canadapost experience.
i got the tracking number yesterday morning by email. I called the Canadapost customer service line and told them that it was my passport. They flagged it as an important document (apparently they have a procedure for it). I received it today in the Vancouver area around 12:30 PM Pacific Time.
The phone Number I called was 1-866-607-6301. I don’t remember the menu options but it was pretty self explanatory.
Hope that helps someone and you all get your passports soon!

Thank you for the update I'm guessing that you'll have it by this week, or at least hoping you will anyways!

I got a tracking number today.
The last movement I saw was it said "item processed" in Montreal, which I assume means the sorting facility.
When i called Canadapost today the agent on the phone said that if it can get through Montreal quickly then I likely will have it in a couple of days.

Update: around 1:45am last night I received a shipping update for my passport/documents. It was a arrival scan at Richmond, Vancouver. Today at 10:30am I received another update and email saying it’s ready to pick up(I chose the Burnaby post office location). The email also stated that I need to pick it up before December 18th otherwise they will be sending it back. I ran to the office immediately and now I am holding my package!! Everything looks good, they really sealed the do not open envelop good with layers of tape, I wouldn’t be able to open it without tearing the whole thing apart.
I am so happy to be done with the whole canadapost and visa situation, see you guys all on the other side.

My visa was approved Nov. 5th, and it was sent to me from Montreal Nov. 23rd. It arrived at Ottawa yesterday, Nov. 28th. I chose the regular Canada Post delivery, and had to go pick it up.

I'm actually skeptical that the people who answer the phone will know anything about whether they're mailing vs holding passports in Montreal right now. Maybe you could send an email to the Montreal embassy email to ask? Not that they're helpful either but perhaps worth a try as well. Sorry to hear you're stuck a week later... Looking forward to experiencing the same stress next week....... 😕

Hey everyone!
Just got back from my interview with my approval 😁
As everyone has already said, the interview was the easiest part and everyone there was incredibly kind.
To confirm what everyone was saying about Canada Post, the woman who interviewed me told me that they are mailing out again and gave me a paper giving me instruction on how to track it.
good luck to everyone!
(I will write a review on my interview when I am back in my home, but now I need to travel back from Montreal)

I paid for the courier service but I am 99% sure that just means that Canada Post brings it to my house instead of to a post office. I am hoping that it means they use a higher priority when shipping as well.

Interview summary time:
Arrived at 8:10 AM for a 9:00 AM interview and was allowed to go in. They gave me a number and instructions on what order to put all of my documents in. The order of documents made sense and the document was easy to follow. I had created a binder of documents to bring and they were almost all in the same order that I had assumed they would be. I sat in the waiting room for about an hour and a half before I was called to the first window.
At the first window, I just needed to hand over the requested documents (essentially the documents that I had scanned and uploaded to NVC). Then I had to go sit down and wait for my interview. That's when I found out that @arellah got her approval!!!
Then I had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for my interview (I brought a book that I read while I waited to distract myself). Then I had my interview where I took an oath that I was telling the truth and then they asked me maybe 8 questions (which took about ten minutes). Then they gave me my approval and told me that my passport would be mailed back to me (as other people have said).
I tried to get more information about the mailing system, asked how long they were expecting the mail to take with the strike and also what priority they send the mail. Unfortunately, they told me they didn't know anything about the mail but told me to call a number on the sheet they gave me about the mail. The number was not helpful. I'll just wait until I get the email from the Consulate with my tracking number and give you guys the information as soon as possible.

🤩we are headed to the airport now to fly out for our 9am apt tomorrow! I know we are fully prepared but this feels crazy, it’s finally time!
We only have the regular police clearance and nonprivacy act RCMP police clearance. The privacy act one is still in the mail and was sent more than a week ago (thanks for nothing Canada post). You guys think we’re ok with only 2 police clearances? My winning smile will pull us through 😁!
ttyl Good luck Arellah too!

You should give NVC a call. I’ve never heard of them not giving them in order, so you might have a date set.
it was the best call I’ve ever made. I hope it goes well for you ♥️

OH MY GOODNESS I JUST GOT MY INTERVIEW!!
Case Complete: August 23, 2018
Interview in Montreal: November 27, 2018
I did not get an email yet. My status changed on the CEAC website to say "In Transit" so I called NVC. The person said it was assigned today and I should get an email shortly!

I also finished my binder for the interview this week. Some people prefer having an accordion file folder, but I wanted more labels.
in each divider is the original document and a clear colour copy.
I just wanted to share because I wasn’t able to find many examples of what others were doing for their binders. Also don’t let my extra ness stress anyone out 😂
im an admin assistant at work so my job is to organize.
