Shubiepinky reacted to Greenbaum in August 2018 NOA2 -----> NVC
Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

https://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/1057584/senkx/BMB%20IV%20Packet%204%20for%20Ks%20January%202015%20Revision_001.pdf
Once you received your case number from NVC, I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.
Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

Yes, after you hit next through the dates to schedule the appointment. I scheduled for June 9th (first available), then rescheduled when May appt opened, but accidentally chose Chennai for biometric, had to change to Mumbai (that cost me an extra one against the limit).
Then we found an April 13th appt and took it, flew to Mumbai and interviewed.
Choose the first available then you can change it and move it up as spaces or cancellations open up!!!

Have actually learned from his sister how to make several of his favorite Paki dishes, and of course chutney😉😉 trying to help his transition be as smoother as possible.
I am also definitely going to be stocking up on spices while we are there and bringing them back with us. He has been in Abu Dhabi for 5 years, and I just want to make sure he has no regrets not being with everyone before leaving and not being able to return for awhile.
Have you got anything planned for a going away party or anything????

False. They faxed mine to me today. You think I am making this up? Now what they won’t do is email it. I asked her to do that and their systems are not set up for that.

Somehow its comforting to know that i'm not the only one going through the wheel of emotions. There are days when you feel strong and positive..other days you just feel anxious. Lets not forget to thank our partners who stays cool and supportive in this journey.
Anyway, no matter what our time is here and just around the corner ..lets continue to pray more approvals to come, not only for Januaries but for others who filed earlier.

Hey guys! How you doing?... Well, I just saw this page http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=3&sortby=2 where it shows several timelines and you can see how many cases has been aproved. But I have seen many cases of people who have commented that they already got their NOA2 but that they didn't update their timeline. Please!! when you get the NOA 2 update your timeline

Shubiepinky reacted to santa cruz in 25 year age difference....Older women marrying younger men
I was in the same position as you. I am 25 yrs older than my husband and don't look my age. We have been married for 4 yrs with him finally arriving in the U.S. a jear ago. His first interview did not go well at all so I took a year off from work and went to Syria to be with him to prove it was ligit. His second interview I was there for and he recieved his visa to the states. When we arrived home I immediatly went back to work and we set out to get his 10 yr. green card. He got his green card 2 months ago. All this time he was saying how happy he was and how much he loved me and when he went to work he would help take care of us. Then boom 2 weeks ago he came to me and told me he didn't love me and he never did. All this was just for one thing and that was a gc.
I am not saying your husband is like that. I never would have thought mine was either. (I met his family and he was not raised that way. They are some of the finest people I have met.)
I am saying however to protect your self. I still love this man with all my heart even after all the ugly things he has said and done to me. I don't want to see anyone go thru the hurt and pain I am going thru now. And once a green card is given it will be too late.
Good luck to you! My prayers are with you.

My husband had his interview but I was unable to attend. The CO was very kind to my husband and only asked him 3 questions. One of the questions was what did we have in common? He answered that to her satisfaction. She looked at our wedding pictures and told him I look much younger than my age. He said the CO did mention the fact that we got married after only knowing each other a few months. Then she said we were missing some documents and to send those in with his passport.
The bottom line is he passed the interview even with our huge age difference and like 99% of Pakistani males he is now in AP.
We have been married for a long time. We will have our 2 year wedding anniversary in August. Our marriage is strong and it doesn't matter if other people can't believe he would marry a woman so much older than him. All that matters is that he treats me with love and respect.
I am happy. People are jealous of that happiness and try to say things to bring me down but I've learned how to shut out the negative comments and concentrate on being the best wife I can under the circumstances of him being so far away.

Hi cougar clubbies!!!
Update on Bella: HUBBY IS HERE IN THE US FINALLY!!!
He arrived in Chicago and went through immigration/customs at O'Hare on the 17th and everything has been fantastic since then. We had a couple of strange looks when we went to the Sears Tower (when the heck did they change the name to Willis-something-or-other) and were waiting in line to ride the elevator up to the top. Interestingly enough...they were from tourists that appeared to be international.... I don't know if it was our age difference, his nationality, his height or the combo-pak--but we both found it amusing.
I am pleased and surprised that we have had no weird looks, comments or derogatory remarks in KY and that so far everyone has appeared accepting, amiable and very friendly toward my hubby.
Interesting to me that people felt more comfortable voicing their opinion while I was alone and waiting for his arrival but now adore him when they meet him--I feel like saying "I FLIPPIN' TOLD YOU I MADE A GOOD CHOICE!!" LOL
Hugs to all and hope everyone is well in Cougarville.
Bella

Ok...here goes...I am 13 years older than my fiance. I am a white, Jewish New Yorker divorced with 3 kids. He is a black, Nigerian Christian, never married, no kids. On the surface, it would appear than we have absolutely NOTHING in common.
But....he is my soul mate. That basically sums it up. We are so different, yet so alike in the way we think, our values, not to mention that our personalities TOTALLY complement each other. He is the most amazing man I've ever, ever ever met in my whole life and we love each other very much. It's more than love though. We respect and really enjoy one another!
Of course, everyone has their opinion of us and usually it's critical. But they just don't know what we have. And I'm tired of explaining. If people read my posts, they'll see that we've hit a snag in trying to get him here. My friends and family keep asking me, "how long Debby? How long are you going to keep trying to get him here?" And my answer is always the same - until he's here - with me. Where he belongs.
The bottom line is this - until you know love, you can't understand that love is ageless and color-blind.

Hm guys, I'm wondering how November will procede! They've really concentrated on the latter half of the month up until the 27th and they've now touched the first three days as well. Technically, only 7 days of November remain untouched. I wonder (hopeful wondering) if they go through the rest of 7 days in the next 2 week, December can actually start during May!! *Crossing fingers*

Assuming tney work in chronological order by date they should touch your date in about 90 days or so. Your vj tjmeline is a good estimate as well. That being said there are still people from June waiting. Patience is definitely a virtue!
