  1. Thanks
poetiknayture got a reaction from Delilah1726 in Fiance or Spouse Visa for Cuba - which is best?
The cost is a wash when choosing between cr1 and k1 in cuba because if the many steps it takes get your documents ready for marriage in cuba and the actual ceremony itself which will cost about $750. As mentioned above the bigger considerations are do you want your spouse to be able to work, to have a driver's license because some states restrict that to just green card holders and your spouse will not have one for a good while, to be able to go visit cuba when they want or need to immediately. Those are the reasons I chose cr1.

NOA1- March 29 (Old Site and Paper)/ April 2 (New Site)
    NOA2- September 24th
I received an update on the Visa Tracker at at about 6pm on the 24th, I didn't believe it at first because well we've all been in the waiting game. So I immediately went to sign in to the new site and my status had not changed, but THEN, I signed in to the old site and it confirmed that my case had been approved. This morning (Sept 25th) I received the official email that there had been an update on my case status and when I checked the new site it also no reflects my status change to approved as of September 24th.  Detailing this part for people who get their notifications in a weird way too, I know some people on here never even see their status update on the site but just get it in the mail.

poetiknayture reacted to Ilio&DF in Cubans Interview Guyana Georgetown
Good Morning. This is the last info I got from some friends that already got their interview completed in USA embassy in Guyana. They got their interview done on last June 26, 2018. They are 3 couples with CR-1 Visa.
What I believe is most important for all of us following this process is the TIME that it will take to get completed. All of them have their cases completed by NVC on DECEMBER 2017 all of them have different priority dates on their processes in USCIS what makes me think that NVC completed case date is the one that counts for an interview date to be given to each of us.
These all couples got the same date for their interview JUNE 26 of 2018 and for some reason I think NVC is only assigning only one day of the month for all the CR-1 visas.
I called NVC yesterday and the agent told me they are already scheduling August interviews and I believe that those interviews assigned will be for those  people that got their processes completed on January 2018. So make your own math and get an estimate date for your interviews. It could be that some months have less cases completed than others and probably it will help to move the list further. I hope this help you. I am waiting for my friends, as soon as they return I will post everything about how was the full process ( so far I know the interview was really fast, well organized and short ( 4 question or so only )). Feliz dia
