I’m not discounting anyone’s experience. Just saying that some people’s NOA2s are longer than others for whatever reasons and nothing you can do. Im not frustrated anymore as I already have the interview appoinment stage now at this point. Congratulations on starting this thread

Your summation is what I was trying to say...More less just offering some advice and commiserating with some people’s waiting frustrations. By the way, that link you shared they had some kind of nasty RFE I imagine, hence that wait Your 5 years experience is very valuable but my experience is just very recent and more on a relatable level than your practical level

Nothing was more frustrating to see people days and even weeks after my early April NOA1 get their NOA2 before me. In fact, was even more frustrating to see people in May get their NOA2 prior to me as well. My friend who is about 3 months in front of me in the K1visa process with same beneficiary country got his NOA2 in 188 days. My background is squeaky clean and all my supporting evidence for the I-129 was near identical as my friends and my NOA2 came in 201 days. While I agree it is frustrating to wait, it is really out of your hands. The one thing I kept telling myself is that everyone pays the same fee and sooner or later they will adjudicate your file. Having said that, the Visa process is a bit better. Try not to get discouraged and you’ll be on through to the next part soon enough. My advice would be try to understand your embassy’s Visa process now while you are waiting if you haven’t already. I got a little blindsided not understanding how the DS-160 works here in Vietnam. Everyone’s embassy is different and what a bunch of hoops I had to jump through here in Vietnam pay the fee that my benificary would have had a hard time with.

    APRIL 2018 I-129F FILERS

I’m just replying to Greenbaum that for “Vietnam” it is expected you will have an engagement ceremony before any actual wedding. They know that here....especially since I am not Viet Kieu

    APRIL 2018 I-129F FILERS

We had an engagement party and we wore the traditional Ao Dai. Our engagement party was back in Feb and I submitted to USCIS about 20 photos of that alone. I will be in Vietnam to see my fiancé just prior to her interview. We will visit her hometown to make the police background check #2 and also will have them supply her the certificate of single dates for that date as well. In Vietnam, it is understood that most foreigners make the traditional engagement party because the family can celebrate knowing that the beneficiary will marry in the states. My good friend just went through this process about 2 months in front of me and he also wore the traditional Ao Dai at their engagement party and there was no problem at the interview...in fact, he didn’t even come to vietnam for the interview with her...Vietnam is considered a “high fraud” country and the most part my understanding is they are looking to make sure is a bonafide relationship and not a public charge

Mr. Greenbaum, now that I have the case number, can I go a head and request the P3 or do I need to fill out, submit and pay the fee for DS-160 then request P3? Is the P3 contingent on the DS 160orjust receiving the case number and invoice number from NVC ty sir

Was more less wondering if anyone was receiving 8 weeks while I have been reading people say they were being told 4 to 6 weeks. That what I was asking if anyone was being told 8 weeks.
