Due to the recent super typhoon, XOOM has given away a one-time coupon to send money to your loved ones in the Philippines for free. I just used it, it worked. However, you can only use it once. I know, I tried sending my sister some money using the same coupon and it said it's expired. But hey, $6 for free ain't bad, right?

Got here in KC just fine. Our hotel is 3 blocks away from the courthouse. We actually drove by it and studied everything from the parking areas to where we need to come in. I CAN'T WAIT! We'll keep everyone posted Thanks for the well-wishers!

I KNOW! YAY! The butterflies in my tummy are killing me! Everything is set... got the hotel reservation so we can be closer to the court house. It's a 7-hr drive for us round trip so we'll be driving up there the day before. Will kind of look around and find the place so we'll know where to go in the morning. This is really special and we don't want to screw things up by getting lost and late for the ceremony

We signed up for email/text alerts using Case Status Online so we can keep track of the movements of our cases. Now, if you didn't sign up for it, you basically find things out through the letter in the mail i.e. NOA, Biometrics appt, yellow letter, interview appt letter.

You're only in line for interview, so don't expect the letter yet. You should be able to receive another email notice that would tell you that they have scheduled you for an interview appointment and the notice has been sent in the mail. Some people never had any luck with case status notification, while others like me did. So it all depends on how reliable your online notifications. GOOD LUCK!

No need to make an appointment to do the walk-in FP as long as you have your letter with you. I've never heard from anybody here on VJ that got turned away.

Don't they check your eligibility the moment they received your case and looked through it? I thought that's the first thing they do and then send back your file if they believe it's too early for you to file? That's unbelievable! Going through the whole nine yards only to be told at the almost finish line that you're denied due to early filing.

YES, I AM VERY EXCITED! And nervous about the Civic Test at the same time... I also thought it was pretty quick, but until I got the interview done and then sworn in, I am not going to get so hyped about the processing. You'll never know what lies ahead... But I'm praying for a smooth journey
After receiving an update that my case is under interview scheduling, I got another update and this is what it said:
Testing and Interview
Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview. You will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. You should receive this notice within 14 days.
And then today, the appointment letter was in the mail.
