lissatt89 got a reaction from AlluringSoul in Case Was Received At My Local Office
After waiting for almost two years now ( applied for I 751 with my husband in October 2016 ) I FINALLY received my approval notice in the mail today.
No updates on the website tho. I can't believe how long it takes nowadays. I actually thought I will get an RFE or Interview after not hearing from them for so long. Good for me tho.

lissatt89 got a reaction from David and Sinthea in Case Was Received At My Local Office
October 2016 filer. Finally got a respond from USCIS regarding my case and they are saying:
We placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
Was anybody ever in this situation where the security check is pending? I was reading on this forum from another user that she had the same problem because she flew to japan so the case was set back. Sounds kinda weird but I actually flew since October 2016 probably 3-4 times to germany to see my family.
Please if anybody has any advice on that I would really appreciate it. I also contacted my local senator a couple days ago before I got a respond from uscis.

lissatt89 got a reaction from NeedMoreCoffee in Case Was Received At My Local Office
I contacted my local Senator and they sent them my signed form and they said this morning on the phone that it could take up to 2-3 weeks for them to contact USCIS because they have so many inquires for immigration cases that are outside normal processing time. They also said after they contact USCIS they have 6 weeks to get back to the Senator with a reason why the case is delayed. Will keep you updated if my case ever gets approved.
