  1. As I fully understand, visa journey, as good as it is, isn't an official data site and only based off user submissions, but this is where I am confused as to my own application.

I submitted an i765 (c9) at the National Benefits Center with receipt date June 25 2018... the processing time chart on this site says cases being processed as of July 1st 2018.  Has mine been missed?  Has the data been entered wrong or something else, I don't know.  Waiting 141 days isn't easy!!!

Any help, tips or suggestions please?

  2. Hi, can someone please clarify something for me.  I did my K1 and now applying for green card etc... I applied for my work card under category c9 at the national benefits center.  I need to know if the timeline showed on the website is for that employment authorization and not for a different type?

I understand visajourney isn't official data but its a hell of a lot more reliable than the USCIS page and call centre.  Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. Not sure if this is the correct forum, please move if needed.

I applied 25th June for i765, had biometrics end of July and have been waiting ever since.  Anyone able to help with where they are up to at the moment or how I can find out?  Also what the next steps are... thank you.

I can't remember exactly but it was longer than the average wait then which shredded my already tattered nerves - if I remember correctly it took about 10 days from interview to me having the big white envelope in my sweaty little hands :)

Mine has now gone from  READY --> APPLICATION RECEIVED --> ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING within the last 2 hours.  I really hope now the next thing I see will say ISSUED!!!  I am also hoping AP is a completely normal thing and nothing to worry about as our case is straightforward.

It switches between immigrant and non immigrant before it is issued.

I can remember the nervous energy in the days after the interview and before getting my passport with the visa in - I managed to convince myself almost daily that they wouldn't issue it - stress/nerves do crazy things to our minds 😂

Very true.  Can I ask how long it took you to see it showing ISSUED as opposed to just READY?

It will go to AP, it will also switch between noon immigrant and immigrant.

The interview experience in London is so easy & we build into such a big deal before we get there that it's almost a let down!

You will be fine, in a few days your status will change to ISSUED and a day or 2 later you'll get an email with the tracking details from the courier.

Now is the time to relax, enjoy every second you can with friends/family before you leave :)

Thanks.  Will it be the immigrant or non-immigrant that will show ISSUED?

You will NEVER log in to nonimmigrant. The Immigrant Visa Unit is processing your case. They do not report on the Nonimmigrant portal.

As stated before "Continue to use immigrant when checking CEAC"

The status may say ready, administrative processing, ready....any order, any number of days. There is no consistent thing you can pin your hopes on except Issued. Just wait for it.

As stated before "The status following interview is not particularly meaningful or useful so don't worry about what it says."

OK thank you.  I guess they don't work on the weekends so hopefully next week it will change to ISSUED.

The interview just felt too easy to believe it until I physically see it in front of me, it is quite a surreal feeling which is why I am worrying so much about it.  I guess in my head it would be a big thing and instead I was just asked maybe 4 questions and she said everything was good and ill get my passport back in 1-2 weeks.  I think its the fact she never used the word 'approved' I am so nervous even though what she said means the same thing.

Just a quick question... if it goes to AP is that a bad thing or normal?

    Thanks

It's tentatively approved because everything you presented was satisfactory and nothing was missing.  They still run some paperwork and security checks to make sure you aren't a terrorist.

Continue to use immigrant when checking CEAC. The status following interview is not particularly meaningful or useful so don't worry about what it says.

When it says "issued", then you know it's officially approved and will be to you in maybe three more working days.

  9. I had interview today I was approved but rather she used the words "every thing is good, you should get your passport back in 1-2 weeks".  Does this mean I am actually approved?

Also, what is the deal with the CEAC page, immigrant status says READY but non-immigrant shows NO STATUS.  Which one do I go by, and what is it supposed to change from, to?

Last question out of curiosity, do they keep your passport even if you get refused on the day to stamp it with a rejection?

Thanks for putting my mind at ease guys.  Im probably going crazy.
