<3T&M<3 reacted to abdelah in Moroccan doctors are the worst
thanks!
that's reassuring.
but the main problem resides, these so called doctors have absolute control over us with no supervision from the U.S. embassy.
that needs to stop.

<3T&M<3 reacted to Penguin_ie in Negative attitudes in the forum
I wanted to address the negative attitudes we have seen on the rise recently in the upper/ immigration forums towards those who ask beginner/ simple questions, or have unusually fast or slow VisaJourneys.
First, there is a tone difference between the Progress forums- which are mostly for support and cheerleading, and the Info forums, which are mostly to have questions answered. While all our forums are supposed to be welcoming to all and friendly, this is especially important in the Progress forums, which are not to discuss politics, or be negative towards those fortunate to have their case dealt with quickly, or critical of those who voice sadness about their own slow progress. These forums are there to uplift eachother!
Secondly- in the info forums, you may get bad news. When a question is asked, our members are encouraged to answer truthfully, even if this may not be what the Op wants to hear, because it is important to be informed. However, the emphasis is still on being welcoming and friendly. If you need to give bad news, do so gently, and stick to facts; constructive criticism of the Op's plans ARE allowed, but the emphasis is on constructive. No need to dwell on mistakes (or tell members they should be on 90 Day Fiance- that is a personal attack and automatic suspension), or illegal actions in the past- instead, encourage and explain legal options for the future. And ONLY legal options- as per our TOS, VJ does not support, condone or encourage illegal (immigration) actions, and such posts will be removed.
Ultimately, we are here to help all members, old and new, easy cases and complicated, those who write a fact filled bullet point post and those who are panicking and don't make much sense in their first post. Yes, sometimes questions can be easily googled, or answered via a search of our forums. But if you feel that way, just scroll past- no need to criticise the OP for asking the question.

<3T&M<3 reacted to Elif_and_Greg in Turkish filers concerned about Turkish-Kurdish conflict
Oh thank you so much for the positive comments and encouragement. By the way, my fiance is always looking for other Turkish people to talk to who have had their visa interviews. So if you'd be willing to chat with her on whatsapp, send me a message and we can exchange numbers. She's really taking the interview so serious and could use some advice and help to relax.

<3T&M<3 reacted to flfreddy in 221g white slip/Tunisia K1
Just based on what you posted, the hints of concerns appear to be
a) prior husband and kid
b) income (job)
c) protection order against you
Assuming that you have to support 4 people, yourself, fiancee and 2 kids, I hope they dont just take $52K /4 and compute vs poverty level.
The divorce decree and birth cert should have been sent with I-129F or they just want to see the original.
Does fiancee have something not favorable? Age gap big? Culture different? Criminal event prior?
Not taking the passport means not ready to issue visa I feel/ Wait for the request. It could be just a simple doc missing.
Keep us posted.

We spent the whole summer together, meeting every week average 1-3 times.
Maybe we can meet months after we file the petition. We planning he comes.

Everyone else has given you good advice for the immigration side.
I want to say if you considered suicide you need to seek medical attention asap. Either through your GP or a counselor do not delay this. Even the worse of days should never lead you to suicide you have more issues than your wife.

I just want to remind the OP that pregnancy can turn a docile, sweet, submissive wifey into a raging beast from the depths of.... okay, I took this too far, but having been pregnant three times myself I can tell you that the hormones are over-the-top. Many, many times I couldn't even stand to be me!! Maybe this really does have to do with her present "condition" (can I say it like that?).
Also, your signature doesn't imply you are married. When did she arrive here? How long have you been married?
Good luck

<3T&M<3 got a reaction from Lnvall in Short relationship
My now-husband and I knew we wanted to get married only months after beginning to speak. I met him four months after "meeting" in facebook and he officially proposed. We filed I-129 exactly four months after we started chatting.
We were approved, no problems. He is from Turkey.
Some of us just know
Good luck!

<3T&M<3 reacted to SalishSea in Got an RFE in the mail yesterday
What country is your fiance from?
Yours is the second recent RFE I've seen for this type of information. Historically, it seems that RFEs for intent were just asking for the letter (even if it had been submitted initially with the petition).
Is there something you can think of that would make them question her intent?
Kind of disturbing really, as how can most people plan such specifics without even knowing when they might get the visa?

<3T&M<3 got a reaction from geowrian in Pictures
The Turkish embassy doesn't formally request "real" photos, but they gave my fiancé a hard time about it. "They" asked where the real pictures are, why he didn't haven any printed out (oops, there is that infamous "they" again - slaps own hand - I mean "the interviewer") I mean, there was no denial because of it, but hey we were asked our opinions and experiences and I gave ours!

<3T&M<3 reacted to Abfim in Pictures
I just wrote the description on the back of each 4 x 6 picture and left them in the package/envelope Walgreen's put them in. I had about 50-60 pictures and submitted them with no issues. I was just reading a post/reply from someone in the ROC July, 2019 filers that he got all of his pictures sent back from USCIS with a letter saying that the "format" of pictures he sent is not acceptable and needed to resend them with a correct format. You may want to look into to that so you don't send an incorrect format.

<3T&M<3 got a reaction from Hank_ in Pictures
We had a very smooth process BUT your advice goes against the one hiccup we had: DON'T print the pictures!
They were concerned that my now-husband did not have "real" printed photographs. We did the print and write beside/below method.
My advice? Take real photos! You can easily glue them, right?

Only the Social Security Administration allocates SSNs......

<3T&M<3 reacted to K1visaHopeful in SSN was not given at AOS interview , please assist!
You applied for an SSN on the i-765, not the i485. So if you did not receive your EAD before you received your green card, your SSN application on the i-765 would automatically cancel. Once you receive your green card you will go into an SSA office and apply for an SSN.

To save some time fill out the SS-5 online, print it out, and take it with you when you go to the SS office.

My husband got his before his adjustment of status of interview, they sent the work authorization and the social days apart. As much as you probably don't want to deal with the social security office, its probably your next step. Good Luck with everything

<3T&M<3 got a reaction from Boiler in SSN was not given at AOS interview , please assist!
Hello, my husband had his AOS interview on 19 June. It was approved. When we filled out the I 485 paperwork we chose to have US CIS give us the SSN. When we had the interview we forgot to ask about it and they never mailed a Social Security card along with the permanent resident card. I've tried 1800-375-5283 and I can't get a hold of anybody, ever!
Has anyone run into this problem? How do we get the SSN quickly now that we are approved?

His Green Card is an authorization to work, but he still needs a Social Security Card. He should go to a local Social Security office and request the card.
