    Hey!

The interview was super awesome-seemed more like banter! She was the loveliest.

I got asked the usual stuff confirming name, dob, yes/no questions from I-485. She only asked Jake 1 or 2 questions at most from memory like when did we meet and she mainly spoke to me. She didn’t want to see wedding photos (which I did offer) and said that my folder was organised beyond what she normally sees and my lawyer joked saying I could have a job in his office 🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣

She spoke quite a bit about Cali (as entered in Oakland for K1 and that’s were she’s from) and was intrigued how I went transitioned from The Emerald Isle to brown Vegas 🤣

All in all wonderful experience. It lasted 15 mins at the very most; super quick. Approved same day on case tracker and in person ❤️

    Hey lovelies,

Does anyone know how long it took from case approval on app to card production? My case has said approval for last 2 days. Just curious.

    Thanks 🙏❤️😍

We did not fill out a new one as I didn't have any new employment information. We did print off a second copy just incase they wanted it.

Don't worry--Our case didn't update for like 5 days. I'm sure you guys are fine!

Please tell me there are people that were at the nashville field office for an interview that didnt immediately get a case status update on the portal online? I know two others that had a different officer yesterday and got notices that they are approved and card is being produced. I havent received anything, and am starting to worry.

Yup, we got a 2-year conditional GC. We got married in October 2018, so we'll have to do the whole removal of conditions bit as well, but we're USCIS-free for a while at least!

Woohoooooo! We received my husband's Green Card through the post today (just a day shy of his 1-year anniversary since moving the US!) We finally popped the bottle of champagne we've been saving since our wedding, and we're officially USCIS-free for quite some time! ...Now to start officially planing our trip back to England in over a year to visit family! 🎉

It feels pretty surreal that this day is finally here, and I'm so thankful for all the support and encouragement from you all. I'm still here rooting for anyone still waiting on EAD/AP and the GC. If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to DM me! I may not be checking VJ quite so much for a while, but feel free to get in touch if you have any questions along the way, or just need someone to vent to. I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Good luck, everyone! 🧡🧡🧡

Hey! Congratulations, by the way! 🎉

Our GC was delivered 9 days after the interview. We did have a long weekend due to Labor Day following our interview, so it probably took a little bit longer than it otherwise would have. That said, there isn't really a "set" or "standard" time that you should receive the GC after the interview is complete because immigration officers usually have to do some follow-up work on the case, post-interview. This is the reason why they can't confirm when you'll receive the GC. (I also think it varies based on the F.O.)

If you don't have the GC in-hand within like 30 days after the interview, that's probably a reasonable time to inquire. However, I'd guess if everything went well, you may receive it within a week or two of the interview. Just keep in mind--nothing is standard with USCIS, so they don't usually confirm when you'll receive your GC in the mail. Fingers crossed yours will arrive soon! 🤞

Aw, that's so sweet and exciting that your mum is coming to visit for your interview! Good luck, and I know you guys will do great! 🤞

My husband's mum and sister came over from England for our interview as well--Definitely helped keep us calm in the days before the interview (plus they were here to celebrate when we heard it was approved!). The tracking info on my husband's GC says it's currently anticipated to be delivered today, so hopefully we'll have it in-hand today, and we can finally book our flights to England! I think it should be here by Monday at the very latest though, which is still soon!

Keep us posted on how your interview goes, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions! Sounds like you'll also be USCIS-free soon too! 🎉

Thanks so much! Yes, we're already starting to look for flights, haha. Hopefully the prices won't be too outrageous, but I have a feeling it's not going to be great. It'll be the first time he's been able to go back in a year, so it'll be worth it, though! 😊

I used my AP on Wednesday. Can't believe how nervous I was using it but Seattle was wonderful. So we went to the US line and my husband said to the officer jokingly, "oh I'm bringing you trouble Sir" (I eye rolled and said oh I have AP) - he was thee nicest officer I've ever encountered in immigration and was nice that he was cracking little jokes. He laughed and said my pic has seen better days (so I'm going to beg for a new photo next week) haha

Was wonderful to be on familiar grounds in the UK and the Netherlands. Looking forward to my interview on Thursday.

You could fly to Chicago or Orlando and depart from there and still save a good amount. It could be double vacation, within the US and then in the UK. 😃

And I completely agree on booking UNTIL the GC is in hand. Hope it arrives soon. 😊

Thanks, guys! Yes, Norwegian!! My husband flew from Gatwick to Austin with Norwegian last year when he came over before our wedding, and it saved him literally hundreds of pounds. We're definitely going to look into flying with Norwegian as soon as his GC is in-hand. (Definitely don't want to book anything until he's got his GC for sure!)

The only trouble is that I've heard Norwegian stops flying from Austin like at the end of October, so we may have to see if we can fly to England on Norwegian, and then fly back to Nashville on a different airline... I know that sometimes ends up being even more expensive though. Ughhh! We'll figure it out somehow. 😂

I checked flights the other day to see where prices are (although we booked in July). The flight we're doing in mid October with AA is still under $900/person round trip.

If you can easily get to any of the airports Norwegian flies from, you can find flights to Gatwick for less than 450dlls. round trip.
