I see. We have a lawyer taking care of ours. I just don't recall ever even being asked about a criminal record. And if I was I certainly would've answered truthfully and (obviously) no documents were ever requested from me prior to filing. Very very upset over this.

Any ideas what the RFE could be about? Because u can definitely gather the documents now and ship it right back
Your approval is around the corner once u send it in! Hang in there! If I had to guess from what I've seen from others - I have a DUI charge on my record from about 8 years ago and I assume I'll need to provide records of that. Does that sound correct? Will having a criminal record be problematic? It was a DUI when I was 18, and I completed the community service.
Is there a rough average of time it takes once they receive the missing documents to when they approve?

NOA1 - Aug 17
RFE - Feb 23
we are absolutely gutted over this -
Was feeling particularly down today, but that update was a mood lifter. Seems they covered a lot of ground and I hope they continue.

+1on the brain drain -> 26 year old business owner with post-grad degree. You'd think someone like me and my fiancee (also with 2 degrees and wanting to own a business) would be the type of people America would love to keep around, but instead we'll stay here long enough to get married, introduce her to my family, and then both moving back to her country ASAP. Good riddance to the USA!

Really glad they are doing some of the 17/18 dates. An approval next week would be so very good

Oh I know! I met my fiance thru her sister, I've been to Filipino churches grocery store. I think we will be good here. I enjoy it here. Why did you leave Louisville?
I wanted to travel mostly, and I'm lucky to have a job that allows me to work from anywhere.
I graduated college and moved to Thailand for 5 years, met my fiancee, and now we are back in America for 1-2 years. I really love Louisville and I always miss it when I'm gone. But at the end of the day I don't think I can ever live in America permanently. I hate the winter time, especially in Kentucky!!!

Waiting for an answer is like watching paint dry ..
As a side note - I'm from Louisville originally. It's my favorite place in the US. I hope you enjoy it there. There is a pretty established Asian community, lots of Asian Grocers and restaurants and things like that. My fiancee has already to sent me to scout ingredients for her. Lol!

@Naes any updates showing dates past Aug 15 ? Really hoping history doesn't repeat itself.
As an 17 Aug filer I really hope so too!!! I'll wait until Friday - if no updates past Aug 15 by then, THEN I will start to worry.

I know this has been asked before, but does it go by Received Date (17 Aug) or Notice Date (21 Aug)?

Looking at Naes’s last scan, I had the impression that today is “let’s teach our monthly RFE quota” day...
or it could be like previous days where only RFE are getting put online, and then come the end of the week we see the avalanche of accepted cases. literally exactly what happened last week, no?

No scan today?

I've been around the world and seen "unpleasant" I've lived in China for 3 years and seen "unpleasant" and every time my plane lands on USA soil I'm so thankful I live in a country that protects my freedom and yours.
is this for real? please tell me it's satire.

New K-1 RFE Master List
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

RFE came today.
I'm missing the 'Beneficiary's Intent to Marry' and 'Proof we've met in person'
A lawyer prepared our package so I'm not sure how he missed the letter of intent. But we did include passports which indicate that I live (and have been living) in my fiancee's country. We've lived together for 2 years. Do I need to write a letter detailing how we met? And include pictures of us together? Also what about the intent to marry? I am currently in America, so will my fiancee need to prepare and sign the letter and then send it to me?
