I do not have a green card but both my parents do. They have traveled many times, they have never run into trouble. If you have a green card, there is really no danger in them not letting you back in; this is your home.

Maybe you are a little hesitant because of the whole Trump situation that happened last year with people from Muslim countries not being let in, but that was an extraordinary situation and I am very confident that you will not run into any issues.

you get me man. of course i was hesitant. with TRUMP you never know hahahaha.

    thank you

I just got back from my travels. I went on a 7 day cruise with my employment authorization card/Advance Parole.

I would say cruise Customs and Border Patrol is way more laid back than airport CBP.

Getting on the cruise ship took longer than when I came back.

On the way out of the US I believe the issue was a lack of knowledge on what an Advance Parole was but I think this is because when you get on a cruise ship, you are not really dealing with TSA or actual immigration agents; only with the cruise line’s employees.

I showed my Visa and they asked if I was a tourist. At this moment I did not want to lie and have any problems, but I feel like if I had just said “yes, I am” I would have just gotten on the ship right away. But since I am adjusting status I explained that I was adjusting my atatus and showed my AP card. The man at security did not know what this meant and sent me to guest services. At guest services the guy inputting my information had to go in the back and ask his manager on what to do. Took about 10 minutes. They took my picture and sent me on my way.

On the way back, I showed my visa and advance parole document to the Customs and border patrol officer. She just looked at it and asked me to take off my hat to compare to the picture. Did not even question the different name. (i brought my marriage certificate with name change just in case) and let me go.

    took less than a minute.

for people that are hesitant on traveling with advance parole, I would say you should go for it. I did not run into any issues, but of course you should always keep in mind that this is not a guarantee that you will be let in to the US again.

thank it's good information i'm planning to travel in march and will gladly read someone that have experienced airport agent with green card in hand

  3. hi guys. so i know people here are still waiting for interview and other stuff that are included in this process AND I WISH A SMOOTH continuing to everyone . so  i'd like to ask just to make sure;

our green card even if it's conditional and good for 2 years is good to let's back in the USA WITH NO PROBLEM. i'm right with that statement?

if there is a part of the visajourney forum about traveling information with the green card please to post the link here or redirect me to the website so we can see what it entail for us in term of traveling. thanks

So this morning, informed delivery is showing me that I'm getting 2 separate envelopes from the Department of Homeland Security/National Benefits Center with the date 12/19 in the corner of each envelope.

I'm thinking it's my husband's EAD and AP docs but thought I'd only receive one envelope for both. Am I wrong?

my USCIS app changed two days ago saying USPS picked my conditional green card but for EAD and AP  no more news since months now

Nope. Honestly, it caught me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to hear anything until February. I guess they are working faster, who knows!

the surprise is happening evrywhere. i was surprise with my interview notice early november and up to this point i didn't receive my EAD and AP combo but i went to the interview today and it was as simple as that just a complete review of everything that we have already submited and some few personal questions regarding our relationship and that's all. the interview was 12; 45 this morning and at 7;30 this afternoon, i got a notification in the USCIS APP saying my new card is being produced

Hi everyone! Did someone already got their EAD ? I didn’t hear anything after they reviewed my fingerprints in August 21.

Just curious how long it will take more...🤨

i was expecting my EAD as i completed my fingerprint on October 30th  and  my daughter on November 14th but instead of receiving the EAD, today i got a notice to appear for interview

@jean baptiste My biometrics notice is dated from September 14th and the status showed fingerprint fee was received on September 11th. My status is still showing fingerprint fee was received since 31 days, even after having my biometric appointment done on October 3rd. It also happens that this status doesn't change before having the interview.

    thx you guys

Frustrating isn’t it.   Im getting a joint sponsor and sending it’s respective supporting documents and im sending from my husbands tax return, transcript and w2’s

i decided to not bother anyone with the co sponsoring because it'll be a mistake to say i did not meet that requirement sure i'm over that requirement of the poverty  guidelines

My first package was sent back on Thursday. I had submitted an outdated i485.

I filled out the new updated i485 from the uscis website on Friday, rearranged the package and took it to the post office Saturday morning September 8.

My package should have been delivered today but the tracking shows Your item has left our acceptance facility and is in transit to a sorting facility on September 8, 2018 at 11:49 am in JAMAICA, NY 11434.

I called usps today they have to open a case to see if they can find it.

I use usps the first time and it got to the lockbox with no problems this time no one can tell me where it is.

    it's scary my friend
