I can't, that is the problem. My flight was landing in Manila on 3/19/20 and the connecting flight to Davao was cancelled. 

Yes, it feels like a knife to back for all of us who played by the rules

So much hate.

I'm going to fly there and stay. I'll have to get my divorce recognized so we can be married there. The COVID delay has already messed up our tight plans with dealing with the kids. The boys really need someone now. I've become numb to missing her, but the kids have me crying if I dare think of it. She doesn't have the family support a lot of Filipinos have and the boys really need someone. There is no making up the time at their age. I feel stupid and guilty for ever leaving. What was supposed to be 6 months is now quickly becoming 2 1/2 years with no end in site. I fear things are changing so much, so quick, it may never happen.

While I know it is a royal pain, the DOT is a "draconian measure" required at some clinics in the U.S. too. 

 

From experience I think you are wrong. My GF was sick, got chest X-Ray that did not look good at all, did the SPUTUM test and it showed NEGATIVE.  

Her symptoms and X-Rays convinced the doctor different and she was referred for treatment.

Another SPUTUM test was done, it was 3+ weeks before it showed positive. And she was seriously active already.  

I do not know why this can happen in some people, but I do believe it is the reason the guideline is 8 weeks. Short term SPUTUM can give a false negative.

 

I am guessing this is what gives me a clue?
 
Registration Criteria: Available only to applicants residing in Kuwait.  A police clearance certificate is required for U.S. immigrant visa applicants age 18 and over who are currently residing in Kuwait for 6 months or more. This is not available for former residents of Kuwait.

Does anyone know what they will do about the interview for I-29f?

Thank you MaryLu. Latent TB is definitely widespread and common in Phils from what I have read. As high as 80% according to an article in Philstar from a doctor there.

Lol..one thing I learned about the previous and this experience is that there are many "experts" on Filipino immigration. 
People spending thousands of dollars on "lawyers" just to review simple petitions when "lawyers" are even less informed.
 
Don't get me started on Filipino folklore, misconceptions, conspiracies, and things that are just plain cute in a childlike way.
I enjoy being there, as it's so different than the high-paced, high-stressed way of life here.
