Just want to let you know that I received the new card today. I was approved on April 1, 09. Good luck to you all!

based on recent approvals, it does seem like CSC is still operating in 2 month time frame for approvals.

but seems like people are having to wait for almost another 2months just to get their Card in hand.

its been just over 2 months already.. and NOTHING still....

i have been told by a couple of immigration attorneys that CSC could take up from 6 months to a year ...since I-751 are basically low priority for them.

i dont know if i can wait 1 year.. its too long.. i have things to do.. im moving soon... everything gets put on hold.. my whole life basically .. because of USCIS.

it would be helpful NOT to complain about the in-equality of the situation.

by complaining all you will do is convince CSC to slow down to make process more equal....

so I repeat, if you are frustrated, i feel bad for you, i am also waiting a long time for my 10 yr card... but try not to point out inequalities between centers as that normally only make things worse when dealing with government work... Im just speaking from experience.

I'm not sure I feel lucky to have been transferred. My package sat in Vermont for seven months untouched and then was transferred to California. Two months there and still nothing. I sent my state Senator an email yesterday basically to complain about the inequities of the situation (i.e., some petitions approved in two months, others taking well over a year) and got a reply that basically said I'll get around to it when I'm good and ready! Great.

Hmmm... too bad this change still wasn't made in the instructions. I sent my wife's I-751 off to Texas last week and was wondering why they hadn't cashed the check yet...

but i would like to in a few months.. however in a few months i will also be filing for my i-751.... so things could get complicated.. and i am a tiny bit worried that by the time i-751 is being looked at, i might be called in for interview... and i will be living in different address... i hope no interview again.

If you can document well the reasons why you need to work in different states right now and show that it isn't a permanent situation but only a temporary one, it shouldn't cause any problems. Be prepared to explain the hows and whys of the separation as living separately may trigger an interview. If you are still together as a couple you will file together jointly and if there is an interview, you both attend the interview. I am not sure what you mean by 'undecided about when to move out'.

danggg that sounds not too good for u... me too i got some suspsicious calls from some weird fone #... im guessing it might be INS... they call and then they hang up the phone... BUT mine could just be a dumb telemarketer as well...

Yes it does happen sometimes.

They are usually calling to see if you really live there, and to ask you a few questions.

oh yeah i forgot to mention, because im in college and she lives 4 hours away. so at the moment i drive up every weekend to visit, until im done with school in may 5th when i can move in full time with her.

my plan was thinking that USCIS was going to give me an interview date on August or September, it would have been fine because by then i would be living with my wife full-time...but they shocked me by giving me an interview date on May15.. i never expected it to be this soon... so i guess they will be suspisious of me at the interview and who knows probably going to be grilling me and interoggating me and give me a hard time coz my wife and me live 4 hours away in different cities.

also i didnt go thru the K1 process.. i came here as a student BUT not to evade immigration, but to STUDY.. i simply came here to study and it just happens we are engaged and now married and USCIS unfortanetely might get suspicious.. would have been a lot less worrying if i had used the K1.

i'l need plenty of luck to get thru this one

by the way i didnt get any email update or on the uscis case status website.. the interview letter arrived and there was no change in the case status website.. so i didnt even know i was expecting a letter until i got it in my mailbox.

also my case might be slightly different from most of u guys coz im a F-1 status Student, so i didnt go thru the K1 process.

anyway im really schocked by the speed of uscis to give me an initial interview. 2 months is too fast when the Processing times say 6 months.

u know whats early.. i filed my AOS application on March 11th and i got my interview notice date today in the mail saying i have an initial interview on may 15th. that is 2 months.... im not sure how i got in this fast as the Portland, OR processing times say 6 months processing time for i-485.

anyway it may or may not be good for me as im still in school and am not living with my wife yet. i plan to move in with her on may 7th... oh ooh i might be in trouble..

i dont think the AR-11 changes the address..

if u are doing online there is an extra form to fill out after sending the AR11, that form will change the actual address for your petitions or aos.

or u can call USCIS and tell them ur new address.

hey same here i got the same RFE in the mail as well.

i was so sad first when i saw that it says "You are ineligible for interim employment authorization persuant to Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations until 90 days after the missing initial evidence is received..."

i thought man i just wasted $180 sending that I-765. because if its delayed that long my interview will come before 90 days.

So I just received an RFE today and it says "You are ineligible for interim employment authorization persuant to Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations until 90 days after the missing initial evidence is received..."

Does that mean that I have to wait at least 90 more days after they received the RFE back before we can get the EAD? I was hoping the RFE would just delay the I-485, since thats all its for. They just want to see stuff about my sponsor's income. I dont see why that should delay the EAD.

This pertains to an interin EAD, which USCIS don't issue any more (starting, I think, October 2006).

In the good ol' days, if your normal EAD was taking more than 90 days from the date on your NOA, you could make an Infopass and request an "interim EAD" to be able to work before your permanent EAD arrives. However, for security reasons, last year USCIS stopped issuing interim EAD's, but the wording on RFE's has remained unchanged. So, this shouldn't concern you at all

You permanent EAD may or may not be delayed just because of the RFE.

i just mailed in my RFE reply last week.

i mailed mine my aos to chicago on Feb 20

and got my RFE i think on March 4th.. i think it took me like 2 weeks after i got the RFE online to get the actual paper in the mail.

I got this letter last month from INS.

This office is unable to complete processing of your I-485 without initial info. Submit all the info at one time. Failure to do so will result in denial. You must submit the following within 87 days to...............................

You are ineligible for interim employment authorization persuant to title 8 until (90) days after the missing initial evidence is received

-W-2, 1099's and all schedules submitted to IRS ........ or Federal Income tax.

-If using current income to meet, evidence of current employment including a letter from each employer on business stationary, showing dates of employment, type of work, number hours worked, wages.

what a pain in the a$$...

i cant believe it. INS has put me into a torture. im sure i will be getting some more of RFE's for other stuffs as well.

Does anyone know if i get my EAD card, can i start working or do i have to wait for 90 days ?? i mailed in the evidence today already.

i called the customer service and the girl told me if i get the EAD i can start working as long as the missing papers have been sent...

i dont think she knows what she is talking about though.
