Apparently the Embassy was closed today 😞. They’re blaming it on civil unrest. When will this madness end.

What basically happened a month or two ago was they were only working on spousal visas and not K1 visa’s.  K1 visa’s were put on hold for months. So now it’s only right that they start working on it to balance things out. Trust me there were a lot of members on this forum and others feeling the same way you’re feeling right now. Let’s just support each other and use this time to plan, organize and cross reference everything prior to your to your appointment.

He can start his own small business such as car wash, Handy man (if he is skilled in anything in particular) But Landscaping and construction are the number one go to when you are just starting up. If not you can try regular entry level jobs that does not really require any experience such as restaurant BOH such as Bussers, Dishwasher and prep cook or even maintenance worker in hotels.

IssaCaptureFL got a reaction from junkmart in Evidence Returned, should I send again?
I would recommend calling and verifying if that's ok I remember someone waiting until they received a RFE they sent over their pictures. Also please double check and verify the requirements for submitted evidence. I remember there being a certain amount of pictures and a certain type of size of documents, no folders, binders or anything within that nature. When you do get an clear answer try sending photo's that are significant and meaningful. I only sent a total of 15 pictures each set was for different scenery, days and location. I categorized it by family group pictures, engagement picture, and activities pictures. Hope this somewhat helps.

On July 21, 2013 the marriage between petitioner David Smith and Mary Jones was lawfully terminated. See enclosed divorce decree.

On September 7, 2017 petitioner David Smith married beneficiary Jane Doe. This is the beneficiary’s first and only marriage. See enclosed marriage certificate.

Yes. Once it’s received at the NVC it takes 12-14 days to change/ be processed. Then it’s electronically transferred to Haiti.

surprisingly everything went smoothly for us prior to the interview, and thats the main reason why I created this forum. Although the general forums had amazing people giving great advise I felt as if we needed one for Haiti, it would be more personal and those who come after us can learn from our mistakes, errors or just get great advise.

Checking everything in Archives is the most important advice you can give, My fiancé interview was back in September, he didn't have his official divorce documents nor mines, When I first sent in the application I included a document I received from the judge stating my divorce was official, I thought that was a divorce license not knowing I was suppose to get an actual certificate, I wish I received an rfe for those documents instead of being told this at the interview, anyways long story cut short they asked my fiancé for both our divorce certificates along with his marriage license which was weird, he received both in December even though he was told copies take a month. both of his documents had spelling errors in his name we had to submit it into "judgement" the divorce certificate came back good all the way in January due to all the chaos and protest and the marriage  one came back with the same issue, we paid for it again and finally got it back on Tuesday of this week. He turned everything into DHL on Wednesday and now I'm just waiting for the embassy to get the documents. This has been a nightmare. we lost so much money and trying to expedite this process. the first guy he went to told him these things take 3 months some time to get documents because there's no organization in government offices. we thought he was lying but now I see it was the truth. this took almost 5 months!
