Montreal refuses almost all of the packet 3s if they are sent before requested, using that standard email. Your best bet is to wait. Ours has been in status ready for two weeks now. Fingers crossed that they email us requesting packet 3 any day now.

It sounds like Montreal uses email for almost everything. My fiance has a different mailing address from when we started. If we use his current mailing address on the Montreal forms, will his visa be mailed to the correct address after the interview?

Hello. We just got the emails from NVC. Our case is in transit. I've read Montreal is a little hard to get interview dates for at the moment. Is that true?

I just got my NOA2 email notification about an hour ago! I'm so excited! The website has yesterday's date. Is that what goes on my timeline?

Hey Berries,
(I love that name by the way... I'm a guy, but yay for girl power <3)
Anyways,
I asked this question before but I now can't seem to remember what everybody said. On my NOA1 (the paper copy) there are two dates the notice date September 21, 2017 and the received date September 19, 2017. My question is, what date should I look for when @Naes posts scans? And what date should I fill out on my timeline for NOA1?
The notice date is your NOA1, so the 21st.

Question - my foreign beneficiary moved across town a few months ago. I've been debating whether to try to change his address with USCIS or wait until another stage. I've read a few different opinions around these forums. Anyone have any recent experience with this?

184 days since NOA1. Is there any rhyme or reason to some cases being processed weeks before others?

I recommend just waiting to submit anything until Montreal asks for it. Use the time to make sure all of your papers and documents are ready. They are generally very good about keeping things moving. It only took two weeks or so for them to send us Packet 3 after they received our case. We didn't send anything until they asked for it. Two days to get Packet 4. Interviews will eventually open up. My theory is the less people who bug them before they get to their case, the faster everyone gets through. Hang in there, you're almost done!
