Thank you - he is doing fine and we are staying busy but I just wanted to make sure we did everything correctly and that its normal to not hear anything for this long and such ! Didn't want to wait 6 months then find out we did something wrong... ! ( we relied on rapidvisa this time )

I see this comment a lot, and a lot of the times I disagree due to the circumstances, but with a K1... That's what you sign up for, unfortunately. 
 
OP, if your husband gets a job offer in the meantime, you could attempt to expedite, though it's not guaranteed. 
 
It appears that you live in Wilmington, which is a fantastic place to explore on foot or with minimal Uber. However, if you live outside city center, I get the driver's license issue completely. 
 
If you're within a walk or a bike ride away, there is stuff to do I'm sure. Volunteering, libraries, what have you. If not, he can look into free online courses to pass the time. All in all, that's the downside of the path you've chosen, so all you can do is make the best of it before the workday grind comes around. If you've always wanted a dog... maybe now's the time. You know. Little things.

As @Jen&Cal said, it’s go go go time! Get your medical booked in, they get booked up pretty fast so you may have to wait a couple of weeks before they have availability anyway. As long as you have the case number they will give you an appointment.
 
I was able to book the embassy appointment the day after it went into transit from NVC to the embassy. I have never ever received anything from the embassy to say I should go ahead and book it so don’t wait for them either. Sometimes people receive a P3 but I’ve never had that. 
 
Waiting for the officials to contact you will take up time. So just go ahead and do everything now. Book appointments, complete the DS-160, get your paperwork together etc... it’s the time when stuff actually happens!
 
@Jen&Cal your passport arrived yet? I’m still waiting, the tracking says it’s “on the road”. I have notes on my front door telling them to knock my windows if I don’t hear them haha! I haven’t moved from the sofa just incase I don’t hear the door!

They were obviously holding out to make it super special for us North Carolinians!!! Eeeekkkkkk you’ll be together for Thanksgiving, that’s super cute ♥️ (Probably only for a couple of hours, but still, it’s cute!)

That is spooky, its spooky for us too because last november was when he first tried to fly here but they turned him away at customs - so now here we are exactly one year later!!

We got issued Friday but just like you, no email yet !

Hey everyone.
You should receive an email from the consulate saying that your documents have been forwarded onto the courier group. They’ll provide you with a tracking number and a tracking link. Receiving that email means that your stuff will be delivered the next day!
You have a 10 hour window from 8am till 6pm, make sure you’re in!
The courier I had didn’t ask for any ID whatsoever, just sign for the package and there you go.
The parcel arrived in a giant grey bag, opened up that bag and inside was the passport with the visa inside and the ACRO certificate and then the giant ### white envelope which boldly says DO NOT OPEN.

Happy dance time, I got issued this morning 💃🏼 I’m sure the person who was dealing with my passport has been on their holidays for the past week. They were probably in Spain sipping sangria. Oh well I’m issued woop! 
 
Now lets hope hope they deliver on a Saturday so I don’t have to wait all weekend 🤔

Just FYI for everyone - my fiancé’s visa changed to issued Wednesday and we just got the tracking link! It can’t be picked up til Monday as the group it mails with is not open on the weekend. 
I’m so happy this is all almost over!!! We’re going to buy his tickets today!

That seems like a fast turnaround ? You should receive an email with the tracking number.
 
 
You should get an email - some get a text but I think usually an email within 2 business days.

I will let you know! My fiancé did not do delivery, but I will let you know how long it takes before he can pick it up! From what I’ve seen (if this part goes as normal) it should be about 2 business days! 

Yes I love Asheville too and its so pretty around this time of year with the fall leaves!
I bought two nice bottles of red wine for his arrival but I ended up cracking one open this week ughhh
 
Not to mention his computer completely died this week so we are now skyping with his phone it is just a mess !

Hey, just wondering if anyone who has had their interview at the LONDON embassy has received their passport back yet? It seems that everyone i'm talking to who has been approved in November hasn't received their passport.
 
I know it says 7-10 working days for us to receive it, I also know that they were closed on Monday for Veterans day, but just thought i'd ask the question? 

Mine just changed to issued!
