Matiola reacted to Boiler in Filing I-130 for my sister from Ukraine
Lot longer than 10 years
You can not file an I 485 until the PD is current
Interesting question hopefully the war will be well over by then so I would use her Ukrainian address as she is in the US temporarily

Just an FYI. There are several threads here on VJ for Uniting for Ukraine. If you have any questions just ask. Several of us have been through the process.

This is big!

The way I understand this, parolees are now eligible to start work immediately with just their I-94 and while they start their I-765 process. And the I-765 will be no charge, thus no need to file the I-912.

Matiola got a reaction from Flafla in N400 San Francisco office - Is the interview and oath ceremony still on the same day?
Ok, I don’t know how to post an update on my last comment so, I am adding another comment here. Yesterday (August 31st), my coworker had his citizenship interview and oath on the same day in San Francisco.

Matiola reacted to Crazy Cat in Moved out of state but I don’t have a new address to inform USCIS about!
Officer: "Do you reside at XXXXXX-XXXX, California"?
You: "uhhhhh".
I don't think anyone here will advise you to lie.
However, the applicable regulation says "In general, an applicant for naturalization must file his or her application for naturalization with the state or service district that has jurisdiction over his or her place of residence. The applicant must have resided in that location for at least three months prior to filing. "

You don’t need to wait for USCIS to send the letter before knowing your exact interview date, if you have a USCIS online account, login and check under “my documents” there you will be seeing a copy of your interview notice that will be arriving in the mail. If you don’t have an account, you can create one and register the receipt number for your N400, everything is in soft copy in your USCIS account.
NB, it is better to login on a laptop or pc when trying to see your documents saved by USCIS, never had any luck opening it on a mobile device.

Thank you so much, Mash! Fingers crossed I will get my paper by the end of the week. I seriously did not expect USCIS to be so agile while processing my case...

Matiola reacted to MASH in Should I change citezenship interview date?
U will get the letter within 5 bus days and I 100% do not recommend rescheduling cause it can prolong it or if they don’t do it right they can deny you and you would have to start over .
I would just get a flight to go to interview and ask if they have same day oath ceremony as well.

Matiola reacted to Allaboutwaiting in I-751 APRIL 2021 Filers (Removal of Conditions)
Ideally, you should see your online status change and should receive a letter in the mail.
-
Matiola reacted to Allaboutwaiting in I-751 APRIL 2021 Filers (Removal of Conditions)
Even if they're waived, the money is not returned.
If you check posts around the forum, the great majority gets the biometrics waived.

Matiola reacted to elmers in I-751 APRIL 2021 Filers (Removal of Conditions)
Depends on your service center. Go to the April filers spreadsheet by clicking this link and on the second sheet you will see links to spreadsheets from previous months. You might find some info on CSC and other centers on when biometric letter was sent.

Matiola reacted to Allaboutwaiting in I-751 APRIL 2021 Filers (Removal of Conditions)
1) Biometrics will very likely be waived if they were taken during the previous stage -AOS-.
2) A little before the extension letter expires, you should schedule an info pass appointment at your USCIS local office to get an I-551 stamp on your passport.

If you are the temporary/conditional green card holder, then yeah this is correct.

Matiola reacted to KULtoATL in Filed I-751 to Phoenix Arizona
All ROC packages are supposed to be sent to Phoenix, AZ for now until they decide to change that. However, everyone will receive a NOA from different service center i.e. California, Nebraska, Potomac, Texas, Vermont or National Benefit Center. Each service center will have different processing time. Go to the progress thread for he month you filed your paperwork. There should be a master spreadsheet link within the thread where everyone posts the update of their cases.

Matiola reacted to A&H2018 in Am I allowed to take written driver's test in Ca with expired I-94?
Hey if you have ead and ssn. You can apply for all that. The ID you get will be for both California state and federal. So you can basically use it for everything till the green card. You cant apply for both real ID and DL at once or hold both.
This process...if you havent read already. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/realid
I have to goto the dmv myslef soon here, but I am thinking the lineups without appointments is probably worse in the heat wave.

Matiola reacted to A&H2018 in Am I allowed to take written driver's test in Ca with expired I-94?
Okay, my apologies my main focus was on driving within state lines. I did not know that cerain passports are rejected at certain places as ID.

Matiola reacted to SusieQQQ in Am I allowed to take written driver's test in Ca with expired I-94?
Ok, as tm92 pointed out you can present a marriage certificate, and as I said the issue of replacement is not the major issue, it’s a few hours time, but you can decide how comfortable you are with potentially being perceived to be undocumented. Maybe you don’t mind this happening. Not something I’d personally be comfortable with in the current climate depending who asks you for identification, but ymmv.

Matiola reacted to A&H2018 in Am I allowed to take written driver's test in Ca with expired I-94?
Again if you live in California a K1, a tourist visa, everyone is expected to get a DL in10days in the state after residence. If you get caught with international license they could charge major ticket. Yes you will easily qualify for AB-60.
Lastly, how exactly you think ppl qualify to be illegal? Run into the dmv say I am illegal....no it just means if you got no i-94/ead you cant get a real “ID”.
ICE does use AB60 to catch illegals which is pretty shitty, but diff topic for diff threads. None of I assume are illegal.
