Ang Oras got a reaction from janet3 in Is a fiance or marriage visa a better path if getting pregnant during the application process?
Hello what a great idea to have a child with the one you love but however its not going to make a difference as far as the process it's the core evidence itself yes having a Birth Certificate as part of your evidence is a strong piece of evidence but shouldn't be thought of as a guaranteed approval .I have  a friend who petition his fiancee from the Philippines she became pregnant and they had no issues then on the other hand I know people who are married with multiple children and get denied CR1  . If your question is if it will speed up the process, the answer is no.

If you haven’t even started the process yet and the pregancy happens now, just realize that the other partner might not be able to be there during the birth and mom might have to take care of the baby on her own for a bit.

Babies and immigration aren’t always the best combo.

doesn't not affect the process but does affect the income needed
if female is bene the child would need CBRA if born out of US

    And know the risks

By age 43, your egg supply is near its end. Your risk of pregnancy complications, such as high blood pressure and gestational diabetes, increases after 35 as well, and continues to rise into your 40s. Miscarriage rates begin to skyrocket in your 40s as well.

Best wishes for the 2 of u

Hi guys! Is it also needed to have my dual citizen baby get registered at CFO? She has both US passport and Philippine passport. If so, what other documents should I bring during the registration process since she has a US passport and not a visa on her Philippine passport?
And by the way, I cannot find the GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING FORM only the registration form on the CFO website, can anyone out there help me find to where I can get it online? Thanks a lot!

Assuming u filed MFJ,  her name would be on tax returns so they want to know who contributed and amount of income from both
    hers will be 0
but her name on tax transcripts requires  her to do the I 864a

Ok Immigration Attorney the only lies here are the ones that you're telling people that is what lawyers do right??? But remember they get paid to do that you don't! Nothing you've said is true do some more research before you give false information or information that's misleading.

Ang Oras reacted to JAC&MEH in SSN & Green Card After Entry with a CR-1
I will apologize in advance if I am posting this in the wrong area.  My wife obtained her CR-1 and entered the country on 7/14/20.  When we submitted her DS-260, we answered YES when asked if we wanted the SSA to issue a SSN and card.  It's now been over 3 months and we have not received her card.  I contacted the SSA after she had been in the country for a little over a month and they informed me that due to COVID that it is now taking up to 3 months to receive her card.  They told us she could come in for an interview and they would issue her a SSN but they warned against it as she may then have 2 SSN's assigned to her so we headed their advice and waited.

Another issue is that she has also not received her green card which I was lead to believe could take up to 120 days which we are beyond that as well.  My concern is that nothing that was supposed to just automatically occur after entering the country is happening.  Does anyone know whether or not a SSN must be assigned BEFORE they will issue her a green card? The reason I am asking is that generally (BEFORE COVID), it would only take 30 days to get your SS card in the mail and then another couple of months you would get your green card.  Perhaps the reason that she has not received her green card is due to the fact that she does not yet have a SSN assigned.

We have made an appointment with the local SSA office for an interview in a couple of weeks so that she can at least get a SSN assigned but will we then need to also manually request the green card that was supposed to have already arrived?

I would appreciate anyone chiming in that is either intimately aware of the process following entry into the country or has also only recently entered the country and perhaps is in the same boat as we are.

Do you know if the lawyer did all the paperwork does USCIS mails everything to the lawyer? Since we never got the NOA1. Because I feel like the lawyer is not being honest with us.

From my understanding, it's the Lockbox that sends you the NOA1.  I've read on a different website that the Lockbox receives your Petition and checks for the basics like, correct fee, signatures, basic eligibility like if you're a US Citizen, class of Petition and if you meet the basics then they cash your check or charge your credit card and determins which Service Center has jurisdiction over your case.  Did you check your bank account or credit card company to see if you was charged?

Nobody knows for sure what they will decide, but that sounds plenty for both the I-130 + Manila's COs.
