I 100% agree with you full disclosure is best from the beginning...I work with a lot of women dating Nigerians and practically beg them to have these conversations asap regarding their men pasts...if they applied for ANY type of visa prior to save them this heartache....this situation is occuring here in the states from I130s thru the citizenships process....I know two wives who husbands are facing deportation over this...resources  within USCIS and DOS have been allocated to this because one too many came over on B1 B2..student viss and did not return...now visitor visas are pretty much off the table for the average Nigerian...and secondly the paperwork is just bad!! I agree a lie covering a lie is horrible but Im aware to my dismay that with money and a powerful attorney can legitimately fix certain cases....its not fair nor cool but it happens.

Because so many have been caught at the interview stage in Lagos regarding misrepresentation on prior visa apps...USCIS is now more involved in catching this in the beginning than allowing these petitions to reach the consulate..they are doing due diligence regarding beneficiaries prior marriage claims...some lawyers have advise to do a divorce at the traditional or customary court and not the high court to get around this then reapply going the I130 route...I would seek an immigration attorney versed in Nigerian immigration matters to help you resolve this if possible.

You should contact an immigration lawyer that has experience with Nigeria. It's possible to do spousal visa but you need a good lawyer to help you overcome the issues with the prior B1/B2 applications. Good luck.

Looks like this could be another example of many who put "married" on a sworn application to get a US non-immigrant visa, then entered on that visa and married a USC, filed for AOS, and got caught because the divorce decree from the so-called marriage was fake to try and hide the lie, so he filed for divorce from the first "wife" in the US and is now hoping that an annulment from the second wife and remarriage will fix the problem.  If he did lie on the original visa application and checked "married" when he was not, it could be a case of misrepresentation that will cause lots more problems when the new AOS package is filed.  Just something to be aware of as a very good, experienced immigration attorney may be needed, if a waiver is made available by the adjudicating officer which is at their discretion and not guaranteed.  Good luck!

Just keep hope alive. Lagos is kind of slow in processing visa this period. A friend got his visa last week after weeks of waiting for his visa to be issued.
I still don't understand why applicant Case Status keep showing 'Ready' for interview after interview. I hope everything work out fine.

Frustrating to see someone so obviously and desperately try to game the system. I’m glad the Government were efficient enough to detect it and will invariably prevent him becoming a lawful permanent resident.

If you are here in the US on a spousal visa that you obtained fraudulently, you will be deported.

I do not think he was. He put married to improve chances of getting visa. He got visa, got to US , tried to undo the "marriage" story hence the fraudulent divorce certificate.
We talk about this everyday here. So, today, I have decided to save my breath and let others advise.

You didn't 'pay attention' to the fact that you submitted a fraudulent divorce decree?

Lying on visa applications and petitions has consequences.  Sounds like she will be moving to Nigeria.

Hi everyone. Some of you might still remember this name, some might not. Last year 2018 I went through the pain of my petition being sent back to uscis, after spending 4months on ap. It was sent to uscis for another11 months. Making a total of 15 months of pain and turture for me and my wife. Well i want to finally say that the petition was reaffirmed july 2019, after a long time and my appointment was september 2019. The appointment was booked by me. It was reaffirmed without an noir. I went for the interview after being asked 3 question and the co said they have all they need. And I was approved.
