I think theirs more to the story than what you said , been aproved or denied is not about time spent together , I got aprouved in the embassy of algeria , with 1 visit for few days ( not even a week)
one more thing , they tend to aprouve or denie some one before the interview

My timeline keeps getting further and further away.....at first I was trying to stay positive, but it's officially moved back 20 days now. It's SO disheartening  

for my case i dont have any call from military any relation XD , they never sent me anything they never looked for me  , if  they ask me in consulate, I have neither exemption nor acceptance nor extension ...I hope they understand that

Make me know if it is , i can talk with him in call and then we benifits both of us in some questions 
 

Im algerien i have 25 yo we applied for cr1 and now we are waiting for case number from NVC , in my situation i never received any call or letter from military i think is not important this , they want paper just if he served in military like job in same country or other , but if you are talking about
" الخدمة العسكرية"  او الخدمة الوطنية " service militar " i think is not requiered , just ask him and tell me ,, good luck

Yeah, NO ONE is able to explain why they started May with mid November approvals. Maybe they just want to mess with our heads, like they're not messed up enough already  About the system how they divide the work, I don't think it is based of the country, it could be simply based of the order you application gets in. It is actually supposed to be in your WAC number, the last three digits show where you stand that day. So I would guess one person gets a box with WAC1890...001 (the first application opened that day) up until I don't know WAC1890...500 (there are some other petitions as well, not just 129f, so the number gets pretty high ). And then, it depends on the person, if they're slow or fast, if they go on a vacation...  And why they randomly decided to start working on o absolutely random box of Nov 17 files - not explainable 

Waiting for NOA2 is definitely an exercise in patience. You probably have an average of anywhere between 13 and 26 days to wait, try to stay busy and calm! It's no fun getting yourself worked up every day.  The average wait seems to be about 200 days, so some December filers are getting approvals now at about day187, and some will take 210+.  You're at 174. Keep the faith!

We traveled to the states together yesterday through Ettihad Airways and are so happy to finally start a life together alhamdulillah!! For the visa, I am not sure about other cities but when my husband signed up for it and since we are from Islamabad, they emailed him and I think also called him to let him know that his visa was ready to be PICKED UP. I am not sure how if there is an option for delivery or not. I will ask my husband and update you if he knows more. 
 
The process on airport was a bit tedious for us just to give you a heads up but it all worked out in the end! Since our cases are electronic (pivot) cases, we did not get the immigration packets as I mentioned earlier (since everything is available online). So when we were leaving Pakistan, everyone at the boarding counter and immigration kept asking us for the "yellow immigration file" but we didn't have it so we had to tell them a lot times that they don't give the packet anymore since everything is done online and they were eventually convinced and let us go. 
 
My husband's immigration was done in Abu Dhabi since we were flying through Ettihad (I would recommend you do the same since it saves you a lot of time once you enter the US). I got stuck in security so my husband reached the immigration counter before me. He showed the immigration officer the passport with visa and officer, again, asked him where is the immigration packet. My husband told him that his case was electronic and didn't receive any such file but the officer insisted and said "no, no, you cannot enter USA without the immigration file." My husband told him my wife is also traveling with me and she has some documents. So the officer told him to go back and come back with the documents and your wife. When I left the security and my husband told me what happened, we were so scared that they might send my husband back. But anyways, we went to the immigration window and we were sent back to the same immigration officer. I showed him the small envelope we had received from courier services and told him "this is all embassy gave us. It had the passport with visa along with instructions for paying $220 immigrant fees. That's it." This is when the immigration officer went "ohhhhh it's one of those cases!!" and he started laughing so hard. He said, "you married a trouble maker! I have never processed one of these cases before so I am sending you to the secondary and they should be able to process your immigration from there." And then he told my husband "you are so lucky to have found such a nice young lady. You take care of her ok?" He was so nice in the whole process. So they took us to the immigration waiting area and we had to wait 3 hours for our turn, which was frustrating but once it was our turn, the immigration officer literally didn't ask a single question. Just told us "congratulations, your immigration is completed. You can now use this visa as a green card temporarily for a year and you should receive your green card in mail soon, etc...." And we were so happy.
 
The point is... for all those with pivot cases who will not receive immigration packet: do not panic if they start saying oh you must have the immigration file. Just tell them it's an electronic case and have the envelope that embassy gives you with you. It seems like even the immigration officers are still new to the system so they sometimes don't really know about it. Hope this helps! Best of luck for your wife's interview!!! Kinda panicking. I met my fiance on tinder 4 years ago and started dating him after we met up the same day we matched. We didn't mention that in the application, because it was such a minor thing to us. We just wrote that we met during a trip overseas and stayed in touch etc, and did not specify how exactly we met during that trip. Is it likely that we will get an RFE asking for more info? Also attached 3 good photos of us together and boarding passes. 

Because I already gathered all cases from March and this was posted on page 13....

Aww, I can totally feel ya girl, I only saw him last year in feb, we haven’t met for over an year  but we talk despite of the time differences. 

March doesn't have more filers than summer and fall  November through February (give or take a couple weeks) is usually lowest amount of filers

Hi! This thread needs some positivity!
I am very happy that I get to spend 5 weeks with my honey this summer. I'm leaving for Istanbul on 06/25 and coming home on 07/31. Is anyone else traveling with their fiance this summer? Going to see him or her?
 
I am staying positive that the slightly lower number of petitions during the winter months will help us out and that maybe our timelines will be accurate
 
We shouldn't mind an RFE.... it's a good thing really. So bring them on!

I signed for DV 3 times but I was not selected, now me and fiancée applied for k1 visa and the interview is in few days, I learned from some applicants that the CO asks about the reasons why they signed for DV before and CO considers that it just an attempt to immigration and also thinks that the relationship is fraud because according to him it is just another way to immigrate to the US.
I signed because we ( me and my fiancée) thought there is no harm, and if i get selected ill be with her sooner, but I don't think its a good idea to say that on the interview.
Our relationship is really genuine and I just don't want to mess up on the interview by saying something that would make it look otherwise.
any advise of what to say on the day of the interview would be much appreciated!
