Ben & Jela reacted to Ash. in please Urgent help
Yeah, I could write a statement saying that I'm a 6 foot brown skinned amazon woman and get that notarized, even though I'm a 5'3'' white girl.

Ben & Jela reacted to tungsten_tip in Walk-in Biometrics Appointment - Still a thing?
UPDATE: Success! So I went in first thing this morning and they had no issue with seeing me early. I went with boarding passes in hand for my upcoming travel, but they didn't even want to see them. The place was pretty quiet, too - just two people in front of me. In and out in less than 15 mins.
Thanks to all for your advice. I'm glad I took the risk!

Ben & Jela reacted to Goldfish_0529 in US EMBASSY UAE: Waiting for Packet3 2018 Thread
When i got there (twice: 1. Went to the interview without receiving packet3 2. Went to the interview after i received packet3) nobody did ask me for the packet 3 too. As per my experience, she (co) checked in the system if they’ve sent me one. On my first attempt, the (co) didn’t allow me to proceed with the interview because I wasn’t given one (packet3) even if I was waiting already for 2 months since the case has been transferred from NVC to EMBASSY. Thus i recommend everyone, to never go to the interview without receiving packet3.
Was given a “conditional approval” slip too but was given a visa. They took your passport, that’s a good sign. Congratulations!

Hi to all, I had my interview yesterday (11 September) on conditional approval due to problem in their system. Today, I checked the CEAC status - from Received Application changed to ISSUED.

Ben & Jela reacted to Shiran in Tinder K1 Interview
Questions 53 and 54 have nothing to do with IMB, or the story about how people initially met. Sure you can include that, but it is very explicitly asks about circumstances and proof of IN-PERSON meeting. 55 is an easy No for anyone who explicitly didn't seek out services of IMB websites are not really hiding, their entire business model is to be that, arranging international marriages.

What it actually says is
Which is completely different from "how you have met each other for the first time" I do not see question of that nature anywhere on 129F, just questions if you met via IMB.

hi Vicky,
why is DS260? K1 is DS160 not DS260
Affidavit of support will be sent to you by your petitioner thru Fed ex and then you will take it with you during interview

Ben & Jela reacted to JFH in Having a life in us
Whilst it might be possible to study temporarily in the USA (assuming your parents have the financial means), this is not necessarily going to lead to "having a life in the USA". Don't apply to a college here just because you want to live in America, focus on what you are good at and what you enjoy. Pick the college - either at home or overseas - that offers the best opportunities for your chosen career path. Study as hard as you can and who knows...you might later find yourself in a position to come here through an employment visa.

Hi. I want to ask about joint sponsor. Do they accept joint sponsor in abu dhabi? And what are the requirements needed for them? Do they need their passport copy and birth certificate along with the W2, paystub and other proof of financial stability?

Ben & Jela reacted to x_driven_x in June 2018 NOA2 ----> NVC
We got approved... though I hear it was not an easy interview compared to many of the reviews for our embassy, lots of questions.... but the important part is we got our approvals and can book plane tickets as soon as she has her visa in hand!

Ben & Jela got a reaction from K1visaHopeful in November 2017 I-129F Filers, Part II
Thanks @K1visaHopeful I think you are right....this is too stressful to have to argue something that even logically doesn't make sense to someone with immigration law experience that is supposed to know better. Thanks again for all your help!

I'd save yourself some trouble and fill the I134's out yourselves based on your supporting documents.
I wouldnt trust bringing any document filled out by them after your story. Do it yourself and if you get stuck ask us here.
Fire them yesterday.

Yipes! Sorry for not being clearer @K1visaHopeful it was very clear in my mind
Yes - I am the USC (petitioner) Sorry!
And YES! 5 THAT is what I thought!! Arrghhh...after having a slight heart attack receiving that crazy email from our lawyers paralegal this morning. Thank you for mucking it out with me and clarifying what I thought!

Hold on! I get it. You definitely weren't clear in the beginning if you were the USC or the bene, lol. Why have you included the USC petitioner (yourself) in the Co-sponsor's household?
1) The Co-sponsor
2) Co-sponsor's child 1
3) Co-sponsor's child 2
4) Co-sponsor's child 3
5) The foreign beneficiary (K1)
So that makes 5 in the Co-sponsor's household.
Think of it like this: the Co-sponsor will be responsible for "fostering" the foreign beneficiary and any K2's should there come a time that the USC petitioner is financially unable to. USCIS could care less about if the USC petitioner can support themselves. They are already a US citizen and are entitled to government programs. They just dont want to have to be responsible for any foreigners. Hence the need for a promise by a co-sponsor to be financially responsible for the foreign beneficiary and k2's if the petitioner is unable.
Your household would be 3.
1) USC petitioner
2) K1 Foreign Beneficiary
3) Petitioner's USC child
That's the problem by using the word "fiance" in these forums. It never describes who you are talking about.

Posting an update to our situation after that whole fiasco with the USCIS and not ever getting our NOA2 hardcopy due to a mistake on their end.
So after having gotten all the way to the point of having an interview scheduled only to have our case sent back to the USCIS from the embassy we finally got a hardcopy of our NOA2. I've updated my timeline. There's no way to reflect the oddball events of our case so I'm treating it as if we never got an approval way back in June and it was just barely approved now. You can read up on my older posts to see what I'm talking about as I don't feel like re-hashing the past all over again. I'm just happy we finally got something.
NOA1 Received : 11/8/17
NOA2 Received : 8/3/18
Old website still says received 11/8/17.....ridiculous
New website says approved 8/3/18
A whopping 270 days from start to finish....again, ridiculous
I still don't consider us quite in the clear yet so just praying that we don't have any more out of ordinary experiences.
Good luck to those who are waiting still.
This process takes patience to a whole new level.

My fiance will have her interview in.... about 3 hours! I'm super excited! She was incredibly nervous, and I tried to tell her not to worry.... but she will anyway! Hopefully soon I'll be booking our plane tickets!
