all you need is a person who has knowledge of both languages or as ours had a machine that did translations into any laguage she programmed
my husband even translated for a friend
the reqirement is "you can not do your own"
should be ok if she certified herself as licences translator

Given that you are going through the Casablanca consulate, one of the strictest countries in terms of K1 approvals, I would re-do the translation with one of the embassy approved translators. You might be able to get away with having someone else, especially a sworn translator with an official stamp, but personally I would not take any risks with this consulate. 
 
With that said, I'm fairly certain my husband used a translator who was not listed as well and it worked out for us, but I would still advise others to stick to the information provided by the embassy  so as to avoid potential administrative processing or denials. The consulate seems to be especially strict recently, with the addition of the DS-5535. 

Take care of getting the medical exams and 2 police reports now / some of these take time

our K1 in 2009 was denied and we had to go thru marriage in moroc and CR1
but 2018 he gets to apply for citzenship so all is worth the work and time

We have almost the same exact dates as you and have been emailing about every other day and have heard nothing. Also, whoever said the USA citizen has to send the email is wrong. The beneficiary can send the email.

it will not help at this point to call NVC as the case now on way to embassy and NVC can not view the case
u should recieve the email with list of doctors for medical exam and the name of the 2 reports needed
 
as soon as the packet is ready for interview you can schedule medical and get the 2 criminal investiations done
important to know 
if u get approved u have 6 months to travel to the US from the date of the medical exam
and,  please don't buy any tickets till that passport with visa stamp is in your hand

Keep emailing them. The Casablanca consulate is known to be extremely slow. My fiancé heard back from them in 3 days with his interview date, but that isn't the average turnaround time. I honestly would email them every other day.

It takes about a month or little over a month to get appointment letter and after you get appointment letter it  be about 3 weeks before the actual appointment so  yes this is very normal for casablanca
