What @Boiler is saying is that there's no chance of them getting B-2. This is what I also wanted to say when I  asked you if you're familiar with "Bogota and B-2s"

Colombians are notorious for overstaying in US. As of today, Mexico has put a strict measure on them because they're now using Mexico as a catapult to get into US via border and claim frivolous asylum. A lot of them are being denied/ being deported as soon as they land in Mexico. There was such a post here a month ago.

I really dislike it when people come on board and say "I'm from Latin America/ Africa." The only time they're proud to mention a country is when it's USA.
Even if you mention the city, noone here in US is going to find you.

Not sure why a date was written for the future. Something fishy going on here, hence the need to tell us AFRICA.
    I'm with @Redro.

Lemme not say what I wanna say because I'll get a moderation and ban.

Higher chance it's this. Mostly when they don't say, it's Nigeria.

There are 54 recognized countries in Africa. I asked the question because if this country ALLOWS people to sign a legal document in advance and recognizes the “future date” you should have no issue… But, if you come from a country that is known to have fraudulent documents- your friend might want to consider getting married again…
As someone from “some African country” I appreciate that we don’t support the idea that Africa is a country but made up of 54 countries… FIFTY FOUR…

Immigration officers look at EVERYTHING.  Do not imagine you will get away with any type of fraud or document tampering.  The US consulate officers in your vague African country know all the tricks.

You seemed to have ticked many of the boxes to ensure they do not obtain Tourist Visas.

I must be doing something wrong, none of my relatives seem to want to cover all my costs.

A couple of important corrections.  First — you did not pay for the visas.  You paid for the application processing and visa interview.  It may or may not result in a visa.  Second — you cannot get them visas.  They must qualify for them in their own merits.

Two applications had to be filed.  There is no option for two people to be processed on one visa application/fee payment.

To specifically answer your question — you must pay the fee before you can schedule the visa interview.   You will need the MRV fee receipt number to get to the interview scheduling site, so you are going in the right order.  They will need two appointments, but you can schedule them on the same day (on any day that has two interview slots open, that is).

Timona reacted to OldUser in Navigating USCIS Concerns About Living Apart After Marriage for Green Card Application
You need to answer three questions and back it up with evidence:

    1) Why are you living apart? Show the letters ans other documentation proving your grad school obligations and her internship.
    2) What effort do you take to see each other and keep the marriage alive? E.g. show plane tickets, hotel and other reservations, photos together, events you attend together, vacations you take together, affidavits from friends and family. You should start comingling finances. Can you both open a joint savings account and start saving for a common goal such as deposit for lease, or downpayment? Doesn't have to be big contributions, if both of you can start saving $100 a month that's already something and better than nothing.
    3) What is the long term plan? You need to be able to explain how you will build life once one of your finishes their obligations. Are you moving to her city? Is she moving to your city? What's the timeframe?

These cases are harder but approvable if you can document everything well and convince immigration the marriage is geniuine.

Yes, the CG, regardless if it is conditional supersedes the AP/EAD.  She is now an LP and can travel outside the U.S.

Use it as normal green card. No need for AP. Just valid GC and valid passport plus any visas / eTA paperwork if required by destination.

Once you file I-751, you'll have to carry GC and extension letter.

If you're on good terms with hubby, time to sign I-407 and restart process.

Your current GC is dead. It'll be caught. Better fix it right now.

There was a poster here a while back who got ROC without interview, and during that time, she'd divorced (I think she was waiting to got to interview and present divorce papers but got approved without interview and just sat on the divorce papers). Anyway, she applied for N400, got caught and was thrown back to go fix her ROC.
