Got a case number on the 19th  Now more waiting...

I'm 5/23. Still waiting!!!

Why is it that  no one tries to shut down the Government to help legal immigrants ? 
Im encouraged to just forget all the fees, and paperwork..
 
Its seems easier to force our way in. Then we get free attorneys thru the ACLU and  if anyone tells us to go home just call them a racist for it...
 
No Fees, No Forms , No Pre-entry Medical requirements, No Background checks,  No Appointments, No Affidavit of support,  No tax returns ,  Free ACLU lawyers and best of all by forcing our way into the country Illegally we get an entire political party willing to shut down the government to give us the right  of citizenship...
 
It is so frustrating ...All of us go through all this hell and run around . Politicians should  care about us before and above ANYONE who breaks into the country without permission.
 
Keep your heads up. Approvals are on their way ....
When the day comes that you are granted citizenship, Remember the difference between what it means to be Legal vs Illegal, and vote that way ....

Government shut down. Kick the can down the road or kick me....Past the NOA2, Past the NVC, Currently at embassy ready status, Medical appointment scheduled, Embassy appointment scheduled both first part of February. Now a shut down is going to affect me how? Cause more delays how? Just one thing after another to cause delays it seems.  Everyone here going through the process correctly and at their own expense. I just hope I don't have to spend any more of my money to make up for congress in differences. I know foreign embassies will remain open but to what extent? Will visa still be processed or remain in AP until they see fit to start working again? I know I worry to much, but this journey has been a rough ride for May filers, as well as others too. I thought actually having dates for appointments was such a relief that there was a actual time and date to look forward to and not just being told to wait a couple more weeks or other canned answers. I may be worrying about nothing but this journey hasn't given me anything not to worry about so far. If everything stays on schedule from date of filing it will have taken over 9 months to get to a interview appointment and hopefully a Visa in hand. 
 

Hey everyone. I have great news! I just received a text and email from USCIS concerning my NOA2.
 
On January 12, 2018, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx. 
We will mail your approval notice. 
Please follow the instructions in the notice. 
 
The texted came today today but I see they approved it last Friday. Finally May 22 is behind us! I'm so relieved. 
 
So how kind does it take before NVC would get the file so we can start the DS-160? 

Just called NVC they received our case however still being entered into the system. NOA2 Dec 11th.

Just got off the phone with NVC, my case was received today, no case number yet. The woman told me it could take up to 14 days to receive the case number. Noa 2 approval Dec 14    , NVC received Jan 17 =  33 days.   8 months from Noa 1 received.  May 14,2017.  Can anyone tell me what is next once I receive the case number, and roughly how long until interview. As many of my VJ May filers know this has been a long and crazy ride. But it looks like the end is near. Thank you Lord for all your Blessings.

Well finally an update here.
We were EARLY May filers.
It took a good 6 months for NOA 1
NVC number took all of 8 days back then
After that came her interview.
Due to my prior past petitions it was held up at the Embassy in Manila.
Well 2.5 months after interview here visa went from , READY, Application Received , Admin Processing and the day after AP it went to ISSUED.
Still can't believe it 8.5 months.

Hello everybody!
May 22nd here, our status just changed, we got a RFE, so now we have to wait until my fiance receives the letter to see what they are asking for and provide it as soon as possible, I hope it is an easy one.
I really don't know, why the took that long to send a RFE, but it is what it is and to be honest I feel happy that at least the touched the case and we can move on in the process.
I will keep praying for all of you that haven't had an answer yet.

Anyway, nice to meet you all. Also, anyone without NOA2 yet, it can take a long time. I mean it took 252 days for ours...
Please don't give up hope. Just keep prepping as much as you can x

The call went through 30 minutes ago and they told me that my case was received, they gave it a number and it will be sent to my embassy next week.
 
I checked my case number on ceac and it says at NVC

Our case is finally at the embassy, Almost exactly 8 months (actual 246 days) from NOA1 of May 15th.

Hey guys. Just called NVC and was told that they are currently working on my case! YAAAAAAY! Funny thing is I called yesterday and they said they didn't have it yet but today they said they are working on it. I was also told that they got it on Jan 8 so I guess it took a little while to be processed in. I'm sooooo happy right now just knowing they are moving my case along and it's out of USCIS. They told me I should have a case number within two weeks but I will start calling in a few days. Just thought I would share with all of you. Keep the faith =)

After 8 months of waiting we have been denied. We got an Rfe in December questionning the validity of my fiances divorce in Nevada. We provided all the evidence needed, as agreed by an immigration lawyer.
 
They didn't even update the system. We had a a notice saying mail had been returned by the post office on 9 January. We called last night and they told us we were denied on 22 December. We don't even know why.
 
What can we do now? Can I enter the USA on ESTA (still valid) to visit her?

You should be good,doesn't seem like a reasson for another RFe.Never heard about 2 Rfe for the same issue.Even if is difficult keep positive.

After 48 days of waiting on the NVC, I put in a call. The person was helpful and after I told her the notice date, she told me to email them (not sure if I can share the email) so they can research things. November 28th for the notice date.
