  1. I just want to keep you posted, I passed the interview and now wait for Oath ceremony's schedule! The IO didn't ask anything about my Ex but when I got my Green card, before or after divorced which I got it after divorced. She didn't even ask for any support documents state on the letter. Thank you all again!
  2. Hi everyone!! I filed N-400 under 3 year rule as VAWA recipient and I have an interview on 06/01/21. The interview required me to bring the originals of - Marriage certificate - Proof of death or divorce for each prior marriage of myself and spouse - My spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship My current status is divorced with my ex-husband who is USC and also abuser. I didn't expected that they are going to ask about my ex or how did I get VAWA since I have sent all the support documents for VAWA but due to what they required for an interview, it makes me feel like I still have to deal with my ex which I cannot do it. I had a really hard time to go through with what caused me and my son from my ex-husband. It involved with polices, social workers, court order/court sentence and hospital because of the injure he did. I have a marriage certificate and proof of divorce with him (first time marry for both of us) and his expired US passport. I hope the passport works because I'm not be able to contact him. Does anyone here who has VAWA case and has to bring these documents to N-400 interview? Did the IO ask you about how do you get VAWA or anything about your ex? Do I need an attorney for the interview? Will his expired US passport be good for the interview? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi Quarknase!! Could you or anyone give me some advise please? I filed under 3 year rule as VAWA recipient as well. I have an interview on 06/01/21. The interview required me to bring the originals of - Marriage certificate - Proof of death or divorce for each prior marriage of myself and spouse - My spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship I had a really hard time to go through with what caused me and my son from my USC ex-husband. It involved with polices, social workers, court order/court sentence and hospital because of the injure he did. I didn't expected that they are going to ask about my ex or how did I get VAWA since I have sent all the reports to support my VAWA but due to the documents they required for an interview, it makes me feel like I still have to deal with my ex which I cannot do it. I have a marriage certificate and proof of divorce with him (first time marry for both of us) and his expired US passport. I hope the passport works because I'm not be able to contact him. I'm nervous and panic already just thinking of I have to talk about or deal with him. Did they require you these documents also? Did the IO ask you about how do you get VAWA or anything about your ex? Do I need an attorney for the interview? Thanks in advance!
