ms_bobdog got a reaction from Jaty07 in I-751 interview preparation help
I had my interview on Wednesday and submitted the following:

Latest federal and state tax returns
    Latest joint bank account statement
Proof of joint ownership of car
Car insurance with both our names on it
Life insurance showing each other as beneficiary
New copies of letters sent by the utility company to show both of our names on it
Proof of new auto loan application in both our names last year
Latest property tax bill showing both our names

While the officer did not mention why we were called in for interview (I am CR-1 and never been interviewed in the US before), he did say at the end of the interview that when everything is in order, the interview is very short and not what people think would be 7 hours long. He was very nice and even suggested we check out some Greek food in the area, since we drove almost 3 hours to get to the interview. We were asked the following:

Confirmation of biographical details (my name, my date of birth, husband's name, husband's date of birth, our residential address and what type of property it is)
How many times have I been married? (This is my second.)
How did we meet? (This was a very long story and my husband was asked if I had missed out anything, lol)
    Colour of our house?
How many bathrooms are there in the house? (We only have one, so the officer commented 'oh that sucks', lol)
Do we have any kids? (We don't.)
(After seeing our dog-themed mask) I assume you have a dog? What kind of dog?

He took the copies of pictures I had brought at the end and they were mostly road trips with our dog and our dog rescue work and we chatted about that. I got an email update 30 minutes later to show that new card was in production and the latest update is that the card has been mailed.

I really wouldn't overthink it for a legitimate relationship  Hope this helps!

ROC joint filing-- even if the recent letters do not state the spouse has to attend, people have reported being asked about it. My letter (earlier this year, for April interview) did state to bring my spouse, so I am guessing the interviewers may not be aware yet that recent letters do not state the need to bring their spouse. Given how long most people have been waiting, I really think it is a good idea to bring your spouse. What is the worst that can happen other than the spouse having to sit and wait for nothing?

A few apparently have gone without the spouse and been successful. Some even were approved without an interview in many cases. But then why risk things at this stage when the immigration process in itself is already fraught with pitfalls even when you do everything by the letter?

The minor inconvenience of getting your spouse to go with you in my opinion is more than worth the world of hurt one can get into IF the interviewer insists on having him/her there. Could lead to a postponement, RFE, or in an extreme case NOID.

    Just go with the spouse!

I have seen several people saying recently that their interview letter did not state that the spouse has to attend. Yesterday, someone with that letter went for the interview but apparently was asked why the spouse was not in attendance. I won't chance it even if the letter doesn't state it. Better to bring your spouse and not be asked to have him or her in the interview room than to have no spouse there.

Thank you for the heads up. I'm already convinced to bring my husband with me when I read the federal statutes.

I don't think most people update their i751 interview experience (presumably because i751 interviews are comparatively rare).

If your case is straightforward then just do it yourself. From my i130 to my i751, I did everything myself. Already received my 10-year GC in hand. If you have questions, VJ members are more than happy to chime in to help you out!

    Hello Everyone,
I had my I-751 interview today.
I was approved right way. They just wanted to see my passport and Conditional green card. Asked basic questions about marriage( date of marriage, husband's name and how the last 2years been)
The I. O was excellent. Very helpful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. They didn't even ask my husband to come with me in the interview room. It was only me and the interviewer.
Finally the journey came to an End. The 10years card will be arriving soon.
Note- I have applied for naturalisation already. They could not do the combo interview as I didn't hit the 3 years yet. As I am still within 90 days time frame(That's what I was told).
Expecting interview in September or beyond.
Good luck everyone. For any questions please reach out. 🙏🙂👍

Sometimes people misspell, that's kind of what some of us were suspecting as it sounds more than a little odd for someone to come here and ask if he can keep his LPR status after 10 YEARS outside the country and on top of that blaming the pandemic for not being able to come back. But obviously if that really is the case, then that's still not the oddest thing we've seen on here. 😄

Hello everyone, I have a good news to share. I had interview yesterday and it has been approved. The interview made me worried because the officer told me someone call ICE over me back in 2017 to let them know that I was living separately from my husband. I did not lie and I told all the truth, all the dates and everything. The officer told me she was worried if I would lie her something and that would create more research for her, but I told all truth about our separation and divorce process. After 3 hours from the interview my status changed to card is being produced. I want to thank everyone here who helped me through this tremendous stressfull process, and also wish everyone best wishes. Truth is everything they want, and they know everything about us so be prepared for the interview and go get that god damn greencard.

Thank you guys for the input I really appreciate, however I received a call back from USCIS yesterday where the agent emailed me a copy of the biometrics letter oh thank God I’m really relieved. As I live really close to the uscis biometrics center I went over there and was the only one literally but one of the agent saw that my appointment is a week from today she sent me home !!!! Really!!!! It’s not like they’re busy like I said I was the only applicant there but she spoke to me with a really weird and judgmental tone and said no no no you come back next week. I don’t understand.
Again, thank you guys for trying to help me.

Just vented my frustration in the November filers thread.

Something's moving along with MSC, they decided to schedule me for a biometrics appointment...right when I am in Europe. There is no chance I can reschedule my flights either. It's scheduled right smack middle of visiting my parents for the first time since January 2020. As if I needed this kind of stress. UGHHHH.

ms_bobdog reacted to Crazy Cat in I-751 Spreadsheets Compiled by Service Center
I have found that there are a lot of people here who know only enough about spreadsheets to be dangerous.  I abandoned my compilation of MSC I-751 filers due to continued and continual corruption of the data.  Unfortunately, Google Docs did not allow adding information only.  I wish I could have prevented other members from changing the format of the form.

Anyone wanting to see MSC data as of a few months ago can go here:

Give it a couple of days. There should be another update that the post office picked it up. Then you will get the tracking number!

You probably won't get any useful answer from them. If your service centre is not MSC, there is a good chance of the biometrics requirement being waived. You just need to wait for now.

Pretty straight forward... For biographical info, I was asked both our names, date of birth, address, where exactly we live (it's a small town on the outskirts of a larger metropolitan area). I was asked how we met, my husband was asked if I missed out any details, what colour our house is, how many bathrooms we have, if we have any kids, and we talked about our dog and rescue work. He was nice and professional and even told us to try out some food in the area, since we drove almost 3 hours to get to the interview!

There are people reporting in the last 2 days about having no interview for MSC and they came on CR1 visa. Hoping those of you who have been waiting will be one of the lucky ones!
