LookyWhatIFound got a reaction from JFH in December 2015 I-130 Filers
Ok well here's the scoop for London.
IR-1 / CR-1s, non DCF, interviews are only scheduled by NVC. You can only get the appointment changed if you call the Embassy, but they will not guarantee that you get it on that date, but will offer you something else.
London K-1s and DCF's go through NVC for a short instant in time, but don't really, and the appointment would normally be scheduled by the embassy, but now they are allowing people to schedule them.
Oh well, be prepared for that 8:00 on a Monday!

Hi Fatigo, it may seem like a year but we've only been waiting 4 months so far. Your time to leave will be coming soon. But you know once you leave it may be a while before you get a chance to visit Turkey again. So why not try to enjoy the friends, family and home you have now, cause for sure once you are in the US, there will be times when you miss your home. Life is always greener somewhere else but you know, "Its not having what you want, its wanting what you've got" Had to add that Sheryl Crow line in.

Woohoo, who doesn't like to spend more money! Congratulation JlovesA. Wow another texas filer approved. I guess they're running faster than the VJ stats are showing. Well my case status has never updated, I guess I just have to take Texas on their word.

Hi TylerTruc congratulations wow that was quite quick. I suspect you filed from abroad, am I correct? We've had several people already gone to NVC, like in a month or two, but all except one of them filed from abroad.

Thanks Daylightvn, hope you will be approved soon also. Well I have dealt with VJ before so I've had the opportunity to learn a bit about this process. Well I've already settled on the idea that its going to take several months so I'm not going to let the wait get to me. Besides I know the effort will be worth a lifetime of what I have been fighting for!

Why oh why was the financial part not discussed before petitioning her ?
People think everything will just fall into place as long as there is have love. Not so.
Perhaps she is scared to death things won't work out and she needs to have some savings to get back home in case things do not work out.
Her resistance to contribute is one thing but to break up over it is another.
If neither one of you is willing to work through this issue then you likely will not work through other difficulties that come in every marriage.
Marriage is work. Marriage is continuous adjusting and compromising, it is not drawing battle lines in the sand.
Maybe it's the tone and the attitude that you both use when arguing about this, can a professional counselor mediate so you can come to a mutual
agreement ? Surely if love is strong this can be resolved.
You two look like such a cute couple together, you are young, try to make it work. No marriage exists where both agree on everything but
you have to give and take and grow and stretch together, no matter if it's her or someone else. It takes two to tango ... so if she is done dancing
move on, if she is waiting for you to give a little then think it over.
How about a little part of her money goes to household bills and part into her own personal savings. Then go from there.
Money does destroy love but then you have to wonder was it really true love in the first place.

I third the Community College suggestion. There should be one in your county. They're easy to get into, relatively cheap and like others have said you can transfer to another college later. Also most of the course credits you obtain will get accepted by the college you transfer to.

On thing, I don't believe the OP ever stated that he even filed the I-130, all he asked was can he get a visa for his wife. We don't even know if he presented their case at all to USCIS, everybody is just assuming he did.

Just as a first step suggestion, you might want to look at adoption but that would probably mean finding out who the father is and getting him to sign some sort of release form. Possibly talk with a lawyer and see what they suggest.
    Good luck

Hey everybody, I wanted to congratulate Andie on her NOA2! Since this is the forum she started the K1 process in. Wow 4 years and she finally got through after her fiancé had to refile for her twice and the NOA2 comes after the July 2014 refiling.
So congratulations Andie, you too finally have the chance to be together, after already knowing him for nearly a lifetime. Hopefully the New Zealand embassy process is quick and easy now after al this!!!

No you are fine the data does not go to their system. For you it will only get there when you take it to them for the interview.
It doesn't matter if you go exactly on that date. You just have to go to the US by 6 months, I believe it is, of your visa issuance.

LookyWhatIFound got a reaction from St&Sv in Change of address during K1 processing
The address needs to be changed 2 places, on the I-129F and add it to her G325A.
    1. If you want to list her friends address do it on both the I-129F and the G325A. I would think they would send to the one listed on the I-129F.
    2. On the G-325A they ask for where she lived for the last 5 years. You can put her previous address in a date range that just ended and the for the present period list her friends address. You can think of it as a temporary transition address.
The embassy will only send her one informational packet and it may not even contain the forms but just telling which forms to fill out.
You should snd her a full copy of the I-129F petion that you send to USCIS. You should also send her all the originals of evidence, receipts, barding passes, bag claim tickets, pictures if she doesn't have them etc.
In addition you should send her the I-134 Affidavit of support. Also when it comes closer to her interview she will need to get police reports from all places she lived for over 6 months since age 16, birth certificate, divorce certificate ( if any ), etc... all for her interview.
P.S. The DS forms need to be sent to the embassy to get her interview, or some sequence like that, all embassies have slightly different rules. But the embassy informs her they are ready for the DS forms by sending her the packet.

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays, Andie, RK and all!
RK - Yes the embassy has been nice to us, although I did let the previous K-1 chief know I didn't appreciate how they handled some things.
Even now there's some unnerving issues that came up but I'm fighting and handling them the best I can. Just to give you a hint, I've taken up learning hypnosis.
Yes Andie, what RK said, hold on and I'm glad you'll be meet Kevin in Canada! That for sure will give you the strength and motivation to keep up the fight!

Oh Andie, so sorry that all this mess has turned your case into a tangled spiderweb. They've built USCIS like an assembly line with the adjucators given specific steps, and if the steps get out of sequence they don't know how to handle it. So it sounds like your case was too outside of bounds for them to be able to handle. But hopefully the local office has finally straightened out the mess and your case finally starts moving towards the finish line.
As for us, we're doing fine. Loreta is one step closer to her memory recovery. She remembers how and where we met but not everything we've done. I think it'll all come back to her in her next session on Friday.

Yes its happened to me in the past and somebody here just recently. I contacted the congressman in my district. He found out that it was put in an "Offsite storage facility" instead of going off to NVC. Same with the other poster the congressman was able to figure it out.
Good luck! Thats the whole problem USCIS and NVC don't seem to coorrdinate, leaving us little guys in the dark.

I don't really know but it seems like this could be a good sign. I mean if they thought the AP was going to go on after so long why would the ask for new medical and police reports.
Wish you luck and the nightmare ends!

For us a crisis seems to have been averted. Loreta was getting scared last week cause she felt very weak and had incidents where she would wake up completely disoriented and didn't know where she was (she did looose her memory 4 or so years ago for nearly 9 months). Her friend from her hometown in Latvia suggested she fly over there with her and see a doctor there. She's in Latvia now getting home cooked meals and all. She had analysis done on her head and they did see some areas where the injuries took place but saw she is healing normally. She's also feeling much better with no dizziness or temporary memory loss. Everything is still a go for us to meet back in Cyprus on the 26th.

You can call DOS to find out about your case at the embassy and if it made it to the embassy. Here's a link on how to get thru to an operator:
    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/
As was already posted, you can schedule your medical if you know your NVC case number. Good luck.

The co-sponsor has to qualify for over the poverty line, including all his/her dependents including you. The reason you have to get a co-sponspr is that you don't qualify. Both you and the co-sponsor have to fill their own I-134 and supporting documents. Good luck.

I wouldn't do that. I suggest putting down the parents address where he is living now. They need to have a physical address. As long as they can match his address with yours, its fine. You can change your address later, but I think to put UNKNOWN is asking for trouble.

I don't think its a good idea. Imigration and Naturalization into the US is better left to the government. The US is not a factory and its not about getting immigrants into America as quickly as possible. There's a reason it got put under the Department Of Homeland Security and it will take a huge act of congress to change that. So good luck with that.
