Just went to Canada by air on my Canadian passport, no questions asked beyond what is already asked, quarantined for 14 days (they call to confirm u are quarantining). Came back to the US using my GC. No questions asked and no quarantine required here. overall its doable. 

Hello, has anyone travelled to Canada and back that can share their experience? My husband has several doctors appointments in Canada and so we are thinking he will have to quarantine in Canada for 14 days prior to his appointments. When he returns to the US, we are guessing he will have to quarantine here for 14 days. We are weighing the options to see if he should even bother right now. Update:contacted CBSA and CBP. CBSA says Canada Citizens can enter back into Canada. CBP said if you have a American Green Card, you can come back to the US. I think I am good as long as I quarantine for 14 days when I arrive.

Hi, I received a notification that a “new card” was being made today...is this the EAD? 

July filer as well and we got this update for both I-765 and I-131 COMBO CARD On Monday

Yes, I think our wait was definitely one of the longest! (Take a look at my timeline, it’s not pretty) But we are finally married and submitted the AOS paperwork...and hoping things go smoothly from here! 

For my time here, one of the most memorable is @KBA I still can't believe the power they had as a couple. I think you can check the timeline by going there.
 
But this was not a normal wait for 99.9% of the people here: I say the regular longest waits at worst times was 200 ( but our average 2 years ago was 180-200 days)
 
I am a highly anxious person and by my 200th day I was going into real negativity. I am now sitting here with my now husband watching TV shows, have an awesome job and really happy life - and that thought ( back then a dream of ours) was the only thing I needed to remember everyday. And to be honest, people in VJ reminded that to each other every day.

It is going so much better than I ever imagined it would.  We are full of laughter and music.  Karaoke everyday and the kids are doing great.  They have some homesickness but we are talking through it and we have really melded.  We are a family.

All here and well.  Here are my kids with Rose's.  So far so amazing.  Got them phones with unlimited data (they don't believe they won't need to get loads) and Aira is signed up for high school.  Thanks everyone.

We finally got married on 5/4! OMG about time! I tried to upload a pic but it says it's too big...sigh I know someone told me almost 2 yrs about how to do it but of course I have forgotten! Now to start on the wonderful AOS paperwork!!

No. If you file for AP (I-131) and EAD (I-765) at the same time as your AOS, there is no separate filing fee - you just pay the I-485 filing fee (plus biometric fee), and submit the AP & EAD paperwork along with your I-485 paperwork.

can the the ministry not provide an english version of the documents you need? if not, id just get a certified translation from somewhere. not sure where though. try the local college's language departments, they might be able to help in some way

I did it for my husband (he is from France). I just did the translation myself in Word document, typed the Translator's Certificate text below (with my name on it), went to see a notary, signed in notary's presence and got it notarized. GEICO accepted the document without questioning. I am not sure about DMV though, but it never hurts to try.
