Because people miss home? Or maybe they just like traveling and are going somewhere other than their home country? It's completely normal to go home or just travel internationally at least once a year and since AOS takes around a year it's normal for people to want to travel before it's approved. 

Some of us do care and donate to organizations that help with those diseases around the world. But a lockdown is not going to help with them, for obvious reasons. 

Don't you get it, the US is the best place on earth and immigrants should patiently wait forever for their interviews and not complain and as soon as they enter the US they should be so grateful to be here that they can't even think of traveling abroad for at least few years. 

So I get it that it's beyond you to understand why other people make different choices from you? Maybe for you it's not hard to be away from family, but for others it is. In my case, we like to travel internationally and one year without that is a missed opportunity. Nobody is blaming anyone or anything. You just said you don't understand why people want to travel soon after they arrive. It's pretty simple and easy to understand actually. Also, for many international couples, balancing between the two families is important and for many immigrants (like me) being in the US is a compromise in order to be with our loved ones and in order to make more money so that we can afford more international trips. 
 
And you're wrong about jobs not giving you time off, you just need to know how and when to ask.

I like how all the people with first hand experience say that they never had any problems with filing single and amending it but all the self appointed tax specialists on VJ scream that it's the end of the world if you give the government more money than you need to

Very few racists actually admit they're racists. Some are even lying to themselves. And in the US, I've noticed that a lot of racist dudes also have some pretty horrible views about women and they specifically seek out Asian women because "American women are the worst". Attitudes like that are a pretty big red flag to me, especially if they also believe that Asian women are going to be submissive. Beware. 
 
For the record, I've been living here for almost 4 years, in a place with a lot of immigrants (SoCal), including illegal immigrants from Mexico, and, no, I haven't "understood". 

Marriage should be the last thing on a 17-year-old's mind. How old is the "dream man"? Could it be grooming?

It looks like there was a newbie working at the embassy. People make mistakes in private companies all the time, embassies can't be that different. It's annoying when it's at your expense though. 

100% wrong. The stimulus is not considered welfare, just a tax credit. It's not a means tested benefit and people making up to $100k still qualify for it. 

It's true. The disastrous handling of the virus is the reason we're in this situation. Just banning people from certain countries without any other measures (no measures for US citizens for example) does nothing to help stop the virus, it's just a power move. If sensible measures were implemented from the beginning to stop the virus from entering and spreading within the country (Vietnam could do it and they border China), we wouldn't be in this situation with 400k dead. 

The 14k+ was an obvious hyperbole, not a scientifically measurable difference. And Trump did say "ban all Muslims", didn't he? Do you seriously think his ban had nothing to do with this promise? 
 
I am not defending Biden. I believe women. But Trump is worse, much worse. Yes, degrees of badness matter. 

So was what I said a lie or not? 
Yep, I'm celebrating having a normal president, no more "very stable genius". 

Even if the time lines do indeed increase (yet to be seen), there are things more important than my personal desire for faster processing. I'm celebrating that the US and the world is rid of Trump and his horrible policies.

First Update 1/19/21 Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was transferred to another USCIS office.
Second Update 1/20/21 On January 20, 2021, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case.
Must say I'm pretty nervous and stressed. Why two? And why not biometrics? I dread another interview.  
 
I've called the number and for the first one automated voice said that it was transferred for professing now it just says new USCIS office.

I'm so, so relieved. I'm not a huge Biden fan but I think he'll do a competent job. And this is an excellent speech. Humility is an important part of having great power and privilege. Good to hear it again.

Send your congressman/woman a letter. Something needs to be done, 3 years is too long.  Don't listen to some of these people who are negative and are okay with people being apart for long periods of time. If you check their timeline, most of them havent even come to close to waiting as long as you have.

Also his corruption is on another level (selling pardons, getting his son-in-law clearance that he didn't qualify for, his daughter making millions while he's in office, etc).
