My friend’s lawyer said to my friend that ”You can work and pay tax since you are a spouse of US citizen. It’s nothing have to do with immigration process, but to work and put tax. She said it’s kind of special measures so that IRS can collect taxes because a lot of people work under table anyways and there is income limit of course. If you file tax for the income, you should file as a sole proprietor. “

The lawyer said to my friend that there is a limit hours or amount that you can work/make, so my friend will get the exact answer anyway. 
 
I think it depends on how interpret the law and the situation. The lawyer usually can’t tell you to recommend illegal but it must be something in gray zone.

Their system seems messy right now since it’s high volume. I requested and call many times about my case. My application was denied in February, but I knew that in August. I haven’t received denial notice yet even though requested some times through Tier2. 

That's an RFE. She must send what they're asking for. 
And when posting images, conceal any personal information. 

I765 and I131 come as a combo card.
You only need biometrics once for it.

Mine we refilled again and my husband still the petitioner, only that this time had to hire an immigration lawyer to do it , so costly but it’s Alright.

I would like to know if this happens to everyone who applied for AOS and the initial interview was cancelled due to the Covid-19 because friend of mine who lives in WI and applied for AoS from K1 just got her first green card without interview yesterday. 
 
Her scheduled interview was cancelled by USCIS and she was told that USCIS would notice them a date of rescheduled interview when the local office opens. I was told the same too. 

Several discussions about this topic. Not everyone is getting waived but there are several cases here on VJ that have been lucky. For sure 2 of us couples are from Wisconsin. 

As others have stated this used to be common practice (I received my Greencard in 2016 and my only interview ever was for a J1 at the consulate long before that).
The mandatory interview came with the current administration and there are several reports that folks have been approved without interview since covid.

A few (not all) members reported getting the i485 approved without attending an interview starting back in early May or so.

Hi, I finally got SSN! 
 
It took 5weeks after I received EAD &AP. 

I hope all this chaos will stop in a month otherwise it can go on for months 
People need to realize this is really serious and stay in quarantine and stay safe.

This timeline is mine and My case status of EAD has changed to New Card Is Being Produced. I actually hoped only EAD not GC so I’m now so excited for it. For Two years without working is terrible.

1/31 Ready to be scheduled for an interview
2/3 Interview was scheduled
2/19  notice of interview date was delivered
3/5 interview
 
I am so happy and nervous that I finally got interview date. And I actually hoped the interview must have been scheduled later like in April but so fast now! Our 2nd marriage anniversary is Almost There! 

March is not that far away and, who knows, maybe you will still get an update on your EAD this month. 

I would also get a feel of the person before dropping that one, it might not get appreciated.
 
You may get lucky during the interview and get asked for something you didn't bring. That should get you those 4 weeks.

When you're at the interview, you can mention your anniversary to the CO and ask if they can hold off on thr approval for a month.  I would wait until thry actually say youre approved first.
