nakuke got a reaction from PlumbTired in All Japan Filers
It took about 3 weks in our case if I remember correctly. It'll arrive with plenty of time to spare. I wouldn't worry about it.

On a more off-topic note does anyone happen to know of any forums, groups etc of people in a similar situation to ours? (Married to a Japanese spouse living abroad). I am interested if it happens to exist because of course even after the visa and green card etc are approved, there are issues that pertain uniquely to those in our situation. Especially when it comes to children. I posted on Reddit recently about the procedure for registering me and my wife's child with the Japanese government hoping someone that was in the same boat could offer some advice just as we do here. Instead of help I received multiple comments about how I need to "let my wife be an adult" , not be a "gaijin husband that doesn't trust Japanese" , and "stop asking things online so I can feel like an man and tell her what to do".

I don't know what it is with Japaense expat groups but they are by far the most bitter and unhelpful group of people I've had the displeasure of knowing.

    Appreciate any help.

nakuke got a reaction from Ninaav in Question on I-129F (Use multiple Part 8 pages or make my own?)
Hello everyone. I am getting ready to send my packet this week. However, I was wondering whether it would be more practical and easy to understand to write all my extended answers on multiple copies of the Part 8 page as so:

I have about 5 pages of the above. Or rather to make a letter-style word document for each topic and sign and date it.

Also I was wondering, if I write see attached for a question (such as an address), should I write "see attached" on just the first block of that question group or should I place "se attached" on every block so as to not leave any blank. I plan to write N/A, none or see attached on every blank in the form. Don't know if this could cause an issue.

    Thanks!

I am happy to introduce myself. I am a active duty military servicemember in the US who was born in Colombia and immigrated to the US at the age of 7 under asylum. We received residency and later naturalized and since then I have renounced my original Colombian citizenship which leaves me as 100% American  I was fortunate enough to meet my wonderful fiancee from Japan in 2015 and will be applying soon for a K-1 Visa so she can live permanently in the US with me. The information on my profile applies to her of course, not me.
