Government shut down. Kick the can down the road or kick me....Past the NOA2, Past the NVC, Currently at embassy ready status, Medical appointment scheduled, Embassy appointment scheduled both first part of February. Now a shut down is going to affect me how? Cause more delays how? Just one thing after another to cause delays it seems.  Everyone here going through the process correctly and at their own expense. I just hope I don't have to spend any more of my money to make up for congress in differences. I know foreign embassies will remain open but to what extent? Will visa still be processed or remain in AP until they see fit to start working again? I know I worry to much, but this journey has been a rough ride for May filers, as well as others too. I thought actually having dates for appointments was such a relief that there was a actual time and date to look forward to and not just being told to wait a couple more weeks or other canned answers. I may be worrying about nothing but this journey hasn't given me anything not to worry about so far. If everything stays on schedule from date of filing it will have taken over 9 months to get to a interview appointment and hopefully a Visa in hand. 
 

Well it is officially the 8 month mark with no NOA2, Day 240. I called USCIS Tier 2 officer who informed me my petition is sitting on an abjuration officer's desk for review. No RFEs or red flags as far as he could see. My finacee and I are baffled as to why our petition is taking so long. It really is heart wrenching. The good news is next week I get to visit her. Bad news is how much longer is this process going to take.

Offer practical demonstrations of anything you describe.

Our case was sent to the NVC and we got our Number on 1/8/18 and we checked online last night and its at the embassy in Bangkok!!!!!!!  Oh man the long long long and one more long process is just about over. Stay strong everyone still waiting it will happen.

so they're going to make a huge run of 6 months worth of applications which are approximately 30000 cases in 4 months? And they took 2 months to barely finish May or any month for that matter... 
 
Not that I wouldn't want it, that will be interesting to watch...

I think that was the lollest thing I've heard in my visa journey life.... 

LOL look, my magic 8 ball is telling me that most of us have been waiting 6-8 months since we filed just for our second notification.

no, i was not in the usa.. i never overstayed my esta.
My exchange was to mexico. i am just unsure if i need to mention it or not..

Well my friends, I guess getting out of the country was what it took. We got approved November 10th. Not on any of the scans, the app still says case received, but when I got back from the Philippines and checked my mail, our hard copy of the NOA2 was there. So please keep the faith if you do not come up on one of Shoegum's scans (thanks sir), the Spinach app is quite useless in my opinion. Spent everyday in the Philippines checking our status and being disappointed when we were approved the whole time.
 
I temper my excitement as I know what it is like to see so many approvals around me and I was getting quite anxious and disappointed. Thank you all for your support and I hope my post gives some of you hope that you may be approved and not know it yet. This May 15th filer was well into the 180's (days) before approval. I also temper my excitement as this process is still obviously broken and I don't think I can feel comfortable until my dear gets her green card in two years. Anyway, we are approved and feeling blessed for that

I was receiving  notifications on my Spinach app,yesterday and today as well.I guess that means someone is working during weekend.
