SO- out of the blue - having just seen the update processing times yesterday morning, I was prepared for a LONG wait for my GC to come from LIN - and yesterday afternoon a notification appeared on my phone - that my case was approved! 😁
This was SO much quicker than I was expecting after having had such long waits with the K1 and the EAD and the AOS. I will have been in the US for four years next week and married since August 2017. This bit went so much quicker than the other bits! I have just spent an hour catching up on your posts and comments here (I started this thread in October) and it is lovely to see the spreadsheet filling up and your posts helping and sharing and celebrating (and commiserating) with each other. It's so much easier to go through with others who know what you are going through too!
So, waiting for the approval notice in the mail - and my Green Card to follow!

that’s good to hear. Should go rather quickly from here. Good luck with your interview. Be prepared with photos, joint accounts and anything else needed. Just do a search here and you can read what others brought. If your meeting is in Boston consider a new medical with a Civil surgeon if your spouse medical is a year old. Ours was 7 months old and we required to get an updated medical, but it also depends on your IO adjudicating your case.

This thread is beginning to go around in circles somewhat...you may want to reread from the beginning, as that's been asked and answered already in this thread as well as your previous one.

I sent it overnight so they can get it faster. As Going Through mentioned there is no fee when it’s a DHS error. I mailed it knowing there is a possibility it may get lost, but I won’t worry about it unless it happens. You can’t control all possible outcomes and in my opinion not worth worrying about every single detail. I didn’t send it in when I originally sent in my I-90 back in November because I was scared it would get lost so I understand your concern, but at the end of the day they RFE me because they want the original card. As long as you have your NOA, EAD and all other documents then why worry? I regret not mailing the GC when I sent in the I-90 and the only thing my worrying accomplished was adding time to my I-90 process. I am going on 7 months 😩

There was an error in the middle name unfortunately. I90 NOA 1 was November 28 - Biometrics Nov 30 - RFE May 15 - RFE mailed in documents acknowledged May 28th ....... so now the waits continues
We used USPS next day $25 cost

We got an RFE for the original - we send in photo copies originally last November and now have to wait even longer.

No thread unless you create one. I-90 are a different lot because there are so many different reasons and application types for an I-90. Start one I am sure you will others to participate.

We got the dreaded RFE for our I-90 (name error- no fee) asking for the original GC. We sent the I-90 in Beginning of November last year. I got an update today that they received my RFE response so now the waiting game continues 🙄. I am not one of the fortunate ones who were not asked for the original.

According to USCIS, and the instructions plainly written, the original is required at the time of your application:
Item Number 2.d. My existing card has incorrect data because of Department of Homeland Security error. Select this reason if your card has incorrect data and the error was caused by DHS. Attach the original Permanent Resident Card issued with the incorrect data. A copy of the card is not acceptable in this case.
I would allow up to at least 3 weeks to receive the receipt notice (or more likely in your case, a RFE for the original card).

Really depends on the person taking your biometrics. The person who helped my wife was nice and let her choose the picture but like I said it’s subjective to the Immigration Officer. I can’t say if they use the new picture because we have not received the replacement updated card yet so only time will tell. As far as the biometrics validity it depends on who is handling your case. For example we we required to do a new medical when we had our interview for the GC even through the medical was less then one year old - some ask some don’t. Just prepare to do everything over again and if you’re not ask then at least you prepared for the worst. I am not an expert by any means but this is what I and others have experienced. Just search these forums and you will see everyone’s experience is unique albeit some similarities.

I can’t say if they will take the existing one but my wife and others here had to complete new biometrics. Search I-90 here and you will see.

We are 113 Days in our I90 because the discrepancy on my wife’s middle initial. Biometrics are always fast and from what i read it’s going to be about a year waiting 😞

Congratulations 🍾🎊- For the social security number it just means that the USCIS will process the request for the TAX aka SSN number through the SSAdmin for you. Should take 2-3 weeks processing

Hubby's aos interview was today! I'm not gonna repost the whole review I did. It can be looked up on the site, but we were approved. His GC should be here in 2-3weeks...sooner if we are lucky😃 Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
