My I-751 status changed on January 5 from is being reviewed to “new card is being produced”. No interview. 

If you have a valid extension letter and an expired GC you will be fine.  Make sure you have the original watermarked extension letter to show CBP, but I suggest making a couple of copies in case an airline employee asks to keep one.

If you get I-551 stamp, they may take your extension letter and physical Green Card.
 
You should only get the stamp, if your extension letter is about to expire or already expired.

It only matters whether your extension letter is still valid. If the letter is not expired, and you have expired Green Card, you should be fine to travel.

We are still waiting, no updates on website besides it being received back in June 11th, 2021. Wife’s biometrics were waived a few month after filing. So we are over a year worth of wait now… no end in sight. But anything can happen.

Nothing here “SRC” either. Our received date is June 11th.  my guess is we won’t see any movement til mid month 8. As the case inquiry date is now at March 27th, 2021. It actually back tracked some. It was just at April 4th. This has happened at least twice since I’ve been paying attention.

We went to my husband's interview and civics test on 11/8/2021. He passed his civics test and interview but the IO asked for proof that we still live together. She wanted a bill with both of our names on it from the time we filed the N400.  I had it in the car. He was inside.  He told her I had them but she said "no...you can upload it". We had to wait on the RFE (it came the following day). We uploaded the "proof" two minutes later and we are now waiting. 

So...I just randomly checked the USCIS case online and it told me on October 4th my husband was scheduled for an interview.  The interview is scheduled for November 8th. He's freaking out (we thought it would be next year).

We went through all of the scenarios and names....his given name will remain the same (I will still refer to him as "R") he's now just choosing a middle name (he didn't have one before).  

Got our biometrics letter today. And the biometrics have been waived.

I need you guys to shoot me some strong masculine names....he's applying for citizenship and it's my understanding he can change his name then....hopefully that's right and Redouane wants a new name....

Also just a bit of information for anyone that may need it.
We just got back from a quick weekend trip to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. We returned via bridge “walked across border”
When it came time to check our immigration documents the nice lady scanned my wife’s green card and it’s obviously expired. The official politely and almost automatically asked for the extension letter, which my wife already had in hand. She asked when she crossed into Mexico and for what reasons and took her picture. She gave my wife her documents back and we were on our way. Absolutely no issues and super quick. I’m assuming once they scan the green card it probably shows your immigration status on the computer screen. We honestly weren’t worried about it one bit.

My wife just received her biometrics letter today.
Texas Service Center for us. 
Her biometrics are being waived & reusing previous ones.
Case status online hasn’t changed.

Received my biometrics in the mail august 1st and my appointment is for august 18th

You are sooooooo blessed to get SRC never mind a biometrics letter LOL. Feel blessed for the awesome service centre you got assigned. Really annoyed I got WAC..knew I’d get assigned there before sending my the package. SRC is a truly blessing to any I-751 filer!!!!!!!!!! You’ll be your bio soon no doubt! I’ve so long to wait for that lolololol
