Josie333 got a reaction from MrsAb2021 in Waiting for K1 Visa Interview in Casablanca
Many of the people commenting are not familiar with the Casa Consulate. This is the most up to date information:
    1. Casa schedules their own interviews. They’ll send you an email notifying you of your appointment. You do nothing but wait for the interview email.
    2. For K1’s it’s taking 3-4 months to obtain an interview. CR1/IR1 is faster. Many in the Morocco specific visa group are stuck waiting as well so you’re not alone.
    3. You can complete the DS-160 now or once you receive the interview email. We say wait because you don’t know how long you’ll be waiting for an interview since in the past it’s taken more than the 3-4 months. Much can happen in between those months and you want the information to be up to date. You do not need to submit the DS-160 to get an interview. As long as you have the Ready status you’re on track.
    4. If you go over the application time limit, Casa automatically waives that expiration and continues in with the interview, so don’t worry about it expiring.
    5. We recommend you obtain up to date unexpired police and military record. Casa is unpredictable and each CO has a preference. I wouldn’t risk having an expired document and get placed in AP. Instead be overly prepared and have it.
    6. Attached is a clear checklist of the documents you’ll need. We have samples in our group as well.

Josie333 reacted to Redro in Immigration call re: Congress request of the k3
In my opinion most likely scenario: I assume you will get a response from USCIS saying action has been taken on your I-130 because it is under active review... and nothing else will happen. You'll be waiting for the K3 to be administratively closed and an approval of the I-130.

Be aware, some people have their K3 denied because they have an I-130 on file and the I-130 is not approved immediately but takes a month after the K3 closure.

If something else happens,  (K3 approved with the ability to schedule an interview after 1 or 2 months OR I-130 approved immediately) I will be pleasantly surprised.
I don't think a lot of people push for the K3 to be approved because they aren't interested in adjusting status and would prefer the K3 act as a catalyst for the I-130. So, no one can tell you what will happen when you get your phone call.. although some will tell you they won't be calling you in 1-2 days...

Congressional inquiry is just a "nudge" or poke at the embassy. The embassy has it's own unique powers and they make the final decisions.

We got AP from Morocco. I need a joint sponsor. I'm waiting to file 2018 taxes to try again.

Josie333 got a reaction from Austin C in Question about joint sponsers pay stubs and I 864
Where in the instructions does it say current pay stubs? I've read through it and I don't see that. I see it says "if you believe". I want to know so that I don't give wrong information.

    CEAC doesn't accept zip files.

Josie333 got a reaction from Austin C in Question about joint sponsers pay stubs and I 864
    1. You don't need the joint sponsor's pay stubs, it's recommended but not required. You are only required to have I-864 signed, W-2 or transcript, and proof of citizenship.

    2. I used Adobe.
    -File
    -Save as Other
    -Reduce Size
If your Adobe doesn't have it, I think you can buy the add on their website for like $15. The price may vary depending on where you're located.

I don t see why not. One would think and believe the Consulate would rather see you as the sole sponsor.
    If anything it should be a stronger addition to your case and he should get that Visa pronto;
November and December fly thru due to the many holidays … Congats

The good news is that they kept your spouse's passport; They intend to stamp a visa.
Logically, your 2018 Taxes should solve it for you. I believe you can file as early as mid January.
    It would have been ideal to have your spouse join you now, but look at the bright side here;
No refusal and they kept his passport. Only a question of time.

@NJ & RJ I included my checking and savings accounts, 401K, and paystubs for a year. I don't have any other assets. The CO dismissed the evidence and stated they only go by Tax Forms.

To answer your question, you can attempt to resubmit your financials. The only problem with that is the CO may still reject it even if you have new proof of meeting the financial guidelines.

After nearly 11 months my husband is getting his interview for his visa in Morocco.  Everything in our process went very well. We filed December 3, 2017 and USCIS received application on the 7th.  We got our  letter in July that everything was approved and forwarded to NVC. In August we paid our fees and submitted all required documents electronically. Everything was approved and in October got our interview appointment.  We processed and did all of the paperwork ourselves. We are very happy with how fast the process moved.  We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary October 12.  After 13 years of knowing each other, we are finally going to be starting the new year together.  Yayyyyy

Hi guys, update, I´m in U.S, yes, it was everything too too fast, because they let me know about picking up my visa last Monday and then I picked up next day morning, and at 11:30 Pm that same day I was boarding an American Airlines to Miami, everything at POE was very smooth and easy and this is my second day in U.S!
I hope you all do it well!
Have a good night! GOD BLESS U!

We were also denied a k1 last year because the consular office didn't believe our relationship was bonafide.

Then we went through the CR1 route and was approved last week tuesday. By God's grace,i will be leaving for the US in a few days and like others have rightly said, she should confidently answer all questions correctly, maintain good eye contact, smile, dress well and leave the rest to God.

Best of luck on the final lapse of this long and tough journey.

As stated above, as soon as it says PAID. Mine took 1-2 weeks in between each step/fee to clear so it varies. You can send your IV package ahead of time you don't have to wait until you complete the DS-260 as long as you have your Cover Sheet. I sent it 1 week ahead and it worked out fine.
