Visa approved yesterday!!! Said i will receive my passport back next week Wednesday! Interview was around 25 min with so much questions. Been shortly interviewed by a man first (3min max) then a lady. The lady said its bc they are trying to push ppl to go for the k3 instead. Im guessing the situation in the states is the reason why...
Anyway now the long wait is almost over for all of us so we can finally get married!!!! For those still waiting for NOA2 or NVC , We pray u receive it very soon! Keep praying cause God is Merciful and Powerful.

with the way things are going I would say longer than a month ago, but I could be wrong ..I figure with holiday, the fact they receive in batches and every other stage has slowed I was hoping it would be in transit by the end of the 1st week in January but will be happy if its this week
Ours showed in transit just after i (beneficiary) submitted the ds160 idk if its coincidence...

@BCILUWAMH if you check the case status on CEAC https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
Do you put your NVC number on INMMIGRANT or NONINMMIGRANT visa? Which one works for you? Right know I'm losing my s _ _ _ because if I check it I cant put it out on NONIMMIGRANT visa and I did understand that K1 was a NONIMMIGRANT. Soooo.... I only check it on IMMIGRANT and it says:
"Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask."
It does seem like a AOS/NVC stage because of the visa interview and NVC has received all the required items and I'm freaking out.
People that have already received the NVC number, does it happen to you? This process has been so tiring that right now I'm overthinking EVERYTHING and I'm always aware of possible things going wrong.
I check under immigrant too says the same. That's what i saw on a website. -

i was so shocked bc last week we've been told that it has been sent somewhere else(by tier 1). I guess we really can't trust what tier 1 says.
Yours must be in the same bunch. Keep calling. Call uscis to know if it's sent. And also we emailed nvc to inquire about out case.
They replied yesterday morning saying they will look of it and at night we got it

oh wow but im guessing maybe she said it bc that's the longest it can take. Like it also can take just a week... I supposed they kind of starting behaving like uscis(tired of so many calls) but what else could we do? Call and pray until we got it

Ok just got a call back from a very nice tier 2 officer (last name Lopez), he gave me more information than most of the tier 2 officers I've spoken with and was very sympathetic to our situation. I'll summarize as completely as possible:
- Not to worry, no cases around our time were sent to a "california visa center" (don't think there is such a thing, he said he thought the person here who quoted that may have been referring to the California service center by mistake
- For my case at least (and most likely all others around my approval time NOA2 Nov 2), the I-129F is still sitting at CSC- it has not been mailed yet
- He said in the system he can see that it has cleared all steps at CSC, and is only waiting to be mailed
- He said while this wait time of 6+ weeks is unusually long, we are all in the same boat, and it is the average time for the time being
- He said he believes that the petitions should arrive at NVC before the holidays
- He also issued a request to CSC to actually send the petitions to NVC
- He said to not worry about petitions expiring, because CSC will issue another approval with a later date if a petition is close to expiring due to slowdowns/backlogs on their end. He said he doesn't anticipate this happening though, and that all of ours should arrive at NVC before this happens.
Hope this is helpful to anyone else in the same boat. I'm going to cool it on calling NVC every day probably until next week. Since all of our petitions are just sitting at CSC, it's not of any use to keep bugging NVC and keep getting the same answer. I"ll probably try again on Monday just to see if it arrived, but am still not going to get my hopes up.That is great news! I thought something wasn't right too cz i never heard of "California visa center " either and can't find anything on it online. Anyway we just got to be patient. As for us we decided to go to the uscis center in Miami and talk to someone.
May God gives us all patience and strength to go through this whole thing! Ameen

Sorry I'm confused. Was your NOA2 sent to that address thinking it was a NVC address? Because that address shows as USCIS. So confused.
I thought the same too. Seems weird to send an approval notice to uscis considering that they were supppsed to have it in first hand. Anyway besides praying I guess i jst have to wait for nvc reply now( made an inquiry yesterday).

#######... I just talked to a tier 1 and set a call back for tier 2...
I thought that when they send it to the wrong address that they automatically send it back to USCIS so that they can forward it to the correct destination??? How is it on you to go to a local office to report it? This is crazy.
That's what tier 2 said. At this point i dont even know if we can believe in what they saying.

Can’t believe this.
Who in USCIS gave you this info? Tier 1 or 2?
with local centers you mean local Offices such as Chicago in Illinois?
thanks!!!
Fiance is in Florida. Tier 2 is the one who told us. I don't know much right now. I have no idea of what to do next

Hello may fellows!
So after making several calls to USCIS we finally have been able to get more informations about our case. it has been sent to the wrong address!!! 😱 The lady we talked to said they sent our case weeks ago to
California visa center:
24000 azila road 2nd floor road 2312 laguna niguel, CA 92677.
We called NVC which confirmed its not the right address. So we called USCIS again and they said we have to go to the local center and tell them about the problem to get it fixed.
So that sounds like a better explanation of why after 6week nvc still has not received our cases. Im jst guessing it must be the case for the others too since they send cases by bunches( wouldn't hurt to call to figure out) .
Please does anyone have anything to share about similar situation?
😭😭Approved date October 30th

It doesn't matter to them if it's not done in 6 weeks..
it will take as long as it takes .
They are in no hurry at all .
I expected to be in and out in 3 tops. After a long wait for Noa2 !!
I was told today that if mine expires after the 4 months from Noa2 received they will just renew it and I have to keep waiting so that's ok they said !!
I now have 8 weeks left till it expires and I'm still stuck there..
its not ok to me .
This has been a horrible experience !
I cry everyday after I speak with NVC and they tell me the same thing.
Still under AP , no time frame sorry !! I Plead with them everyday to help me understand why we are stuck ! It's always the same answer !
And I read somewhere else (dont remember where) that when the beneficiary's country doesn't deliver visa at that moment for any reason your case is put on "non current" . Nvc hold it on until it is "current"..maybe that's ur case...just sharing an info. Hope it helps and pray all our cases speed up.

Wow i'm so glad you were luckier than I was... the tier 2 officer I got today was horrible and wouldn't tell me whether or not mine had been sent
I hope we both get our case numbers from NVC next week.
Yes I pray for that too. Its so stressful. Thought after noa2 it would go pretty fast but no... But well...everything happens at its right time. Good luck!

We have been approved on oct 30th....my fiance called the USCIS earlier today to know if they sent our case to nvc...after checking and gathering our informations they said yes it has been sent. Was really nice said they gonna make an officer call us back in few days just in case... Now we're going to call nvc to see If they have received it. Seems like it takes up to 5days to receive...

how long has it taken people who submitted their RFE to get a reply back in the past month or two?
Ours took 5 days to get approved from the day the app updated the "response to USCIS' rfe received". Oct 25 to Oct 30. But we mailed them the response since oct 16(tracking said they actually received it on oct 18).
