Hi again people! It's been two weeks since our approval, and STILL the USCIS website says received. What's up with that?

It varies a lot. ..but within 2-4 weeks I would think
Oh ok. We just got NOA2 so I think we're supposed to wait before we start calling them. What did you guys do?

Yeah, thats what I got too. ..
Hmm.. How long does it take to get the NVC number?

Do we need the NVC number for the medical?
This is what it said in the email I got back in 2017 when I asked some questions. It doesn't say anything about NVC...
"1. Du MÅ ha intervjudato på ambassaden FØR vi kan sette deg opp til time hos oss og før du kan ta røntgen og blodprøve.
Unntaket er forlovelsesvisum/K1, som skal ha den medisinske undersøkelsen før de får intervjudato." -

That's what I'm wondering about too. I sent an email earlier today, and I'll let you know if they answer. I might try calling tomorrow anyway and I'll ask for that! I hope not, it would be good to get that over and done with!

Hopefully I'll go back to Norway with a visa

Ah, no hurry then. I have an 8 year old son. Hoping to get him in a school before the summer. ..
Ah right! Yeah I'm not in a hurry yet, but I still want to get at least this medical out of the way as soon as possible!

Awesome! I'm working until June 22nd, so we're hoping I can move over at the beginning of July or something

Følte meg dum jeg også 😂😂
Send an email. If they do not respond, call them. I had to do that.
Haha yeah I sent an email a loooong time ago just asking a few questions, and they sent me all the paperwork for blood/x-rays, haha. But I'll call/email on Monday and just book an appointment!! SO EXCITED! Thanks for the info, it always helps to find someone who's doing the exact same thing as yourself

Yup 😄 just inform Unilab what day you are going for the medical. I believe medical is done wednesdays ☺
Ahhh awesome!!! So... (føler meg så dum!) I contact the KAL-klinikk and get an appointment, then contact Unilabs and just tell them that my medical is whatever date and they will schedule me for the same day?

Yeah! Sweet!

I did order a medical. I was approved 17th of February. Going to the doctor 14th this month
Oh ok! Cool! Uhm do you know if you can get the x-ray done at the same day as the check with the doctor? I am confused! Any information you can share?

When you have made your medical the clock is ticking. You only have 6 month validity of the medical. If anything jams up you may have to redo the medical again. And that is costly. So I personally waited until I got the appointment letter from the embassy and booked my medical.
Good luck to you
Takk! I'm a K1 filer (fiance visa), and K1 filers need their medical BEFORE the embassy will give you an interview date. So that's why I'm wondering if I should just go ahead with it now

Any Norwegians on here who knows how long it takes to get the uttømmende politiattest? It's only valid for three months so I don't want to apply too soon, but I don't want to wait too long if it takes three months to get it as well, ya know
It doesn't take too long! I got a "normal" politiattest within three days for my job here in Norway, and I believe it took about a week or so when I ordered my "uttømmende attest". I have to get a new one too (I forgot that they're only valid for three months, haha)

Hei!
New to this forum, so I'm sorry if I'm asking questions that's already been answered. I just got my NOA2 (wohoo!), and I am wondering if anyone knows if I can just go ahead and book my medical now?
So glad I found this forum! -

I just got a call back and SHE SAID WE WERE APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!!!! and that the approval would be mailed out today or tomorrow (please don't be a false positive 😭 somehow) My NOA1 is August 18th.
I recommend calling and asking to speak to a Tier 2 representative.
Congrats!!! I'm Aug 18 too (from Norway!). What number did you use to call USCIS and that tier 2 person?
AOS help
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

Hi everyone
Hopefully I'm asking in the right thread!
I'm putting together my AOS package now. I'm filing I-485 together with I-131 and I-765 (EAD and AP). I've been trying to figure out how many items of evidence I need to file since I'm filing it all together.
Some say that if I file it all together, I only need 1 birth certificate (from me and husband), 1 marriage certificate etc. Other say each form requires its own evidence, so in my case it sounds like I have to attach 3 marriage certificates since I'm filing three documents. Also, how many passport photos do I need? 2 in total, or 2 per form I'm filing?
I hope someone can help me out, I'm mega confused!
Thanks!!
