Get SS Number BEFORE getting marry, getting it after getting married is harder and difficult.  To travel within the USA you need an ID, in your case your passport. If you travel to Puerto Rico, there are randoms  check at the airport when traveling to the mainland asking about your citizenship and legal status in the USA.
 
 

Hey everyone!!!!
 
I know it's been a while since you've heard from me but I haven't forgotten any of you!!! Reni and I are doing GREAT AND BEAUTIFULLY as it has been 3 weeks since his arrival. He gets along with my son extremely and surprisingly awesome because my son usually doesn't warm up to anyone for a while but you would have thought he's been around Reni the whole duration of our relationship so for me that is definitely reassuring and a blessing for us as a family.
 
This morning, Reni and I went to the Marriage Bureau/courthouse and picked up our marriage license and he and I will have a small, intimate ceremony Sunday, 7/22. Hopefully, we will be filing the AOS on 7/31/2018 but definitely no later than 8/3/2018. Truly happy Reni's mom is here in the US for work and she will be able to attend and see her son get married and meet my mom as well!!! Reni and I have decided we will have our "wedding" in March 2019 as that would be our 3 year anniversary of being in a relationship.
 
Hope all of you are doing well with your spouses! I know this thread will soon parish off as many of us are most likely in the AOS forum. Just wanted to say hey and that I miss talking to you all!!!!!

Our status changed to ISSUED today! Now trying to find a reasonable ticket to purchase the moment Alex has that visa in his hands.

Visa approved on Jun2 29th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

OP. Did she receive anything like this in the mail? 
Combo card (EAD + AP). 
 
PS: If she left without this card, then its very likely she won't be allowed re-entry at POE. 
 
 

Hi Junie's! I'm checking in because I wanted to thank you all for the information and support. 
 
Alex had his interview yesterday and we're approved pending medical (He had his medical on the 20th!).  We're anxiously waiting for his visa to book his ticket to me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
 
Thinking and hoping for you KBA. UCSIC really is the most ridiculous place ever.
 
John and Rose you look amazing and so happy! I'm thrilled for you.
 
Everyone else -- the pictures and happiness are incredible. I'm just so full of love and joy right now for me and Alex AND you all.

We've got one last May Filer whose fiancé is flying in today and then we are all officially done with K1 process!!! @TeeSam....today is you and Tena's day!!!! Blessings and prayers for a safe flight and POE experience!

July 15th is only a month away, it will fly by!  Can't wait for both those milestones on your behalf.  After a bunch of unforeseen delays, Me and the Mr. finally tied the knot yesterday ourselves, and just starting to relax a bit.
 
What a crazy ride.  Tonight, there'll be a glass raised to you and everyone else who, just like us, have waited and stressed and gone 'round the bend and back again on this long, hard road we've all travelled.

Visa package was delivered to DHL in Montego Bay this morning at 9:02am and Reni has picked up his package!!!!!!!
 
Thank you to everyone and I mean EVERYONE for your support, words of encouragement, positivity and being our cheering squad!!!!!! Next up is POE next Wednesday, and I can tell you one thing...waiting these next 6 days is gonna be a cake walk after waiting a year and a month since the beginning of our K1 journey!!!

So nice to see May filers finally done with K1  

Yep we got one and I was in Africa for months and months and unfortunately we broke up and I withdrew the petition after he was approved but before he got the Visa Stamped in his passport. Oh well I’m happy, but we did get the DS-5535 and it takes 60-90 days. I been gone so long I ended up flying back to Atlanta because my mom was in ICU. She is getting better each day. Thank God !!!

Thank you sooooo much!!!! It feels good to know that all waiting and all my tears were not in vain!!!! I haven't felt this much at peace in over a year!!! But I will rest even better once I see him walk through those customs doors at the airport!
